I give it fifty-fifty odds he's just that incompetent.
I'm not sure which is worse, to be honest.
He just ignores facts that don’t agree with the conclusions he’s already made. His time ignoring the criminal sexual abuse in his previous career has paid dividends.
yup. there's two alternatives: he knew it was bullshit, and his ignorance was willful, or he didn't know and he's fucking incompetent.
it comes down to: did he do due diligence on the whistleblower to check his sources credibility? it fits his narrative, so it's running, but competent assholes do damage control preemptively.
Either he knew, incompetently didn't know, or didn't care. (Or some combination of these.) I'm not sure which is worst for him.
These are the same lying liars that go on about how cons are being "censored" and "cancelled" on social media, and that they have to repeal Section 230 because of their feels, in spite of all evidence to the contrary about how FB, Twitter, Youtube, actually help to promote right wing extremism instead of bothering to police hate speech meaningfully.
Republicans love manufacturing a narrative/case based on one person's (falsified) account. They did it with Saddam's WMDs, they did it with their false 2020 election claims, (the 'kraken,') and they're doing it with this Hunter Biden BS.
And the Clinton emails, meanwhile they don't give a shit about their God deliberately taking and hiding boxes of classified secrets to sell off to foreign powers.
Don't forget the other Clinton.

This article is trash, but necessarily for the reason you stated: there's a video that shows when jim jordan was asked the question. I wouldn't say he fumbles at all, he lists several reasons why the impeachment should continue. Whether or not their true and a sufficient reason to go along with the impeachment is another question, but I don't think I'd describe him as fumbling.
The amount of connections Republicans have to Russia are just too many.

They're going to impeach Biden, and the Senate will not convict. The Republicans get something to rile up their base, because governing is now theater.
I used to think that was true. I think a number of Rep. Congress may not be falling in line anymore. Trump is starting to be recognized as weak even while complaining Biden is older. The Rep. Party is starting to smell the blood in the water. Republican voters are starting to realize Trump isn't what is best, and he could be a danger whether or not they are wanting to admit he is guilty.
Heard a Republican say the other day he thinks Russia has something on Trump and he thinks Ukraine may have something on Biden as well..
Standard both sides.. but the admitting that Trump isn't innocent is the cardboard cut that let 3 drops of blood in the water.
