No distractions, the second answer is not correct, he wants another glided age. The glided age is another term for the second industrial revolution that turned america into the superpower we know today, but It also was an awful era for your average american. They would work 12 hours or more for a whole week, some may have sunday off due to church but a lot did work that day with all your family working. The standard of living was so crap, many would become alcoholics due to the awful conditions, which would lead to prohibition movement. Your average american did not live long, many people would die due to work place accidents but due to no worker protection, nothing would change.

The era was also known for the monopolies, starting with rockfeller standard oil, carnegie steel company and morgans banking with many others. All the major monopolies worked together to prevent competition by buying out, they would ask nicely to sell your company to them, if not they would play the waiting game by lowering the product your selling to be unprofitable and then buy you out. Regulations did not exist yet so, this was all legal and if it wasn't, no one gave a shit as they were that powerful. The government was no help to them either, as most of them were bathing in the money of the 1%. The 1% lived in amazing conditions, and hoarded a ton of money, with some becoming important philanthropist.

No, your violating the advocating violence rule. We do not want anyone to advocate violence, and that line is always linked to terrorists.

I hope the state supreme court allows them to keep their right to a jury trial. It clearly states in our 7th amendment it is preserved for any case above $20 and that it will always be upheld. There is no alternative in the wording, it is so clearly written and if it is ignored I want to see all the judges bank account and donations because the constitution for jury trials are clearly written and cannot be told in any other way.

The capacitor plague era, ever wonder why we don't see a lot of PC's in the early 2000s, this is why as everything with a cap would fail and kill the boards, essentially having to call on the oem to fix it.

Sugar is the reason for the rise of heart disease that was happening in US. John Yudkin was the one to purpose that sugar was dangerous for our bodies and heart plus responsible for obesity but he couldn't prove it and was criticized by his scientist who were paid by the sugar industry. I forget to state the sugar industry was funding scientist to blame it all on fat. It was a pseudoscience till the 70s and 80s when they found the correlation that Yudkin was missing.

UN general assembly majority vote, but security council, the permanent members all need to agree as even one nay is a veto.

Why is no one mentioning, that under the 14th amendment, there is literally no statement on whether or not its state or congress power. All it says is they just become ineligible when they committed the insurrection. The only power given to congress is, you can override it and allow them to run again. Supreme Court seems to ignore the entire wording, if they agree that trump committed the insurrection is factual, than he should be ineligible per the wording.

The wording is similar to criminal law rather than amendment, be a politician who decides to rebel or commit an insurrection than no more politics for you. This was also written to make sure no one in the confederacy to run in politics, and if that's the case than its also the case that trump cannot run, as its automatically applied.

So moderators/admins, I am the founder and moderator of c/politics. For context, I hired a moderator who I will not name, but he is controversial with users for his views and demand he be remove. I ignored them and continued with my day, then later I received this message from him.

Is he impersonating an admin to try to get us to remove the user as I don't see an admin on his name and his account was created 7 days ago. Just asking if you guys heard of him.

Thanks, yeah just an impersonator trying to get me to remove an important mod.

Let's welcome the new moderators of c/politics.

This was long overdue, and I should have made it per day when the supreme court did these cases. But oh well, it's all under one megathread. This will be active for a couple of days.
