Well we all know it's true, Trump is mentally weak and is easily manipulated by President Musk.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 21 hours ago

We really need to lean into this

[–] [email protected] 35 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Is there any way we can encourage this civil war between Trump and Musk

Wait, Trump means "Fart" in British slang

and Musk is how animals smell each other and stuff..

They're both smelly!

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 day ago

Just keep pointing out the reality, that President Musk is really running the show, while puppet dumpy takes orders.

It's not new. Take a look at all the billionaires telling him what to do. He's not in charge.

What Trump is too stupid to realize is that this is Musk's presidency. Trump has always been a puppet to money and Elon can just buy him off, like he bought his way into Tesla.

[–] [email protected] 42 points 1 day ago (1 children)

And Musk os too stupid to realize that Trump cares about the image of holding piwer, not about the power itself. He's very easy to control from the shadows, but Elon can't keep his face out of the public eye.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 day ago

Let's hope his ego doesn't let him realize that

[–] eran_morad 23 points 1 day ago

He can’t do fuck all, Musk was elected president. Trump can smoke a fat dick.

[–] givesomefucks 268 points 2 days ago (4 children)

Reporters need to start asking trump how he likes working with such a wealthy person as Musk...

Their egos are too big to coexist

[–] partial_accumen 108 points 2 days ago

They should ask Trump if, while hanging around Musk, Trump has now seen how rich people live.

[–] [email protected] 73 points 2 days ago (1 children)

They should ask Vice President Trump if he enjoys working under "President Musk"

[–] pivot_root 45 points 1 day ago (2 children)

First Lady Trump*

Let him think the public (rightfully) sees him as Elon's bitch.

[–] Allonzee 30 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (3 children)

Nah, demeaning to women, and I'm not even the type to say that for a lot of things.

Let's make Trump Elon's First Lad.

Mr Vice President, what's it like going from Putin's bitch to Elon's bitch?

Ohh and the egos on both of them. This is going to be like working on a marvel movie.

[–] [email protected] 125 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Lol it's so easy to manipulate Trump into turning on people.

[–] ceenote 71 points 2 days ago

It's lucky that Elon is the president and not Trump.

[–] [email protected] 36 points 2 days ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (3 children)

I think it was an YUGE step for Trump to admit he can’t do the job on his own. And, to let Rupert Murdoch and Vladmir make him let Elon have control could not have been easy. So kudos Don, for admitting you’re just not smart enough and needed help.

The greatest South African inserted Immigrant President of all time.

If it's this easy to manipulate trump, just imagine how easy it is for Russia.

[–] Kiwi_fella 11 points 1 day ago

Fight! Fight! Fight! (grabs popcorn and a few beers).

[–] Diplomjodler3 19 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (3 children)

The hyaenas will be at each others' throats constantly. That will be the one defining feature of the next Trump administration.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 day ago (3 children)

This specific tension happened a lot sooner than I expected.

Let's see... a guy famous for (among other things) owning a company that builds electric cars teams up with the guy who said he wants to outlaw electric cars. Fireworks were inevitable at some point.

[–] Diplomjodler3 20 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I don't think EVs are the key issue here. The key issue are the grotesquely overinflated egos they both have. It's basically impossible for them to accept anyone as equal.

[–] CitizenKong 5 points 1 day ago

It's called narcissism and they are both textbook examples of it.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago

No it's a guy who wants to be king vs a guy who wants to hold the whip but both view themselves as heroes and the greatest gift to humanity.

One thinks his personality is what won him over and will keep all the support of his followers and one thinks he's the smartest person in the room and his correctness will show that he deserves all his followers.

It's cult leader narcissist vs cult leader narcissist. They don't even have to get to policy before the breakdown occurs.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago

Tesla produces primarily stock market manipulation schemes, cars secondly...

The value isn't tied to the cars they produce now, so it doesn't matter how many cars they actually sell.

Unsurprisingly, this also works on Trump supporters. They get furious when you even go so far as accidentally and unintentionally imply that Musk's opinion will influence Trump's actions.

[–] Fredselfish 29 points 1 day ago

Wait until JD Vance remove Trump using 25th amendment see how that blows their minds.

8 years ago I'd have thought "Elon will step out of the limelight to avoid upsetting Trump so he can use his White House access to make a ton of money." Now, I know he's just as narcissistic and stupid as Donald Trump is.

[–] b3an 9 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Something in him changed. Broke. Maybe all the drugs fucked him up. Idk. I used to look up to him. In the last say decade, I’ve condemned him. I’d love to see him flogged in public.

[–] Burninator05 4 points 22 hours ago

I can't even be excited for the awesome things some of his compaines are doing. The engineers ar Space X are doing amazing work but all I think about when I see it is Musk.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 day ago

His origin story is that he bullied a kid so much for dead parents in his school that the kid eventually pushed Elon down the stairs and he swore to never be able to be picked on again.

He's always been a villain he was just charismatic enough and pretended to be the good guy until the mask broke and he went full villain to try and put the mask back up.

[–] OhStopYellingAtMe 51 points 1 day ago (2 children)

“So I guess it goes from Putin to Musk to trump to the cleaner’s… right, Kent?”

Hot damn I get this reference and love that movie!

Too bad instead of getting to watch from the sidelines safely, we are stuck in the arena with them.

[–] 800XL 6 points 1 day ago

Keep saying it over and over.

[–] WhiteOakBayou 44 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Nothing in this article supports the headline directly. The last paragraph is.
"There’s no telling just yet how much of a rift this has caused between the two men, as Musk seems to be a long-term fixture in Trump’s inner circle. But if this kind of public one-upping continues, who knows how long this bromance will last."

This has been obvious from day 1 of the Trump and Musk show. Trump is an ego maniac and does not like other people taking the lime light.

Trump is predictable in that sense but then highly unpredictable as he turns to his next round of courtiers and sycophants.

[–] [email protected] 30 points 2 days ago

Trump ought to get congress to pass the spending bill just to show Musk who's boss.

[–] Someguy89 31 points 2 days ago

Lmfao. Good!

[–] Doomsider 15 points 1 day ago

Oh, they are not getting along. Is it time to pacify the populace with some WWE drama!?

Who is the heel Muskrat or Aotus? Maybe they will take turns, won't that be entertaining!
