In a world, where a skilled assassin lives a public life as a barber to the rich and powerful. At night they pull of the most difficult hits that nobody else would take on.

Groomer.

What about "Earworm - The Musical"

[–] JusticeForPorygon 27 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Except it isn't made up, and it's a phenomenal movie.

[–] Nibodhika 7 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Is it a continuation of Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter? (Also not made up, but this one is actually bad)

[–] JusticeForPorygon 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

No but that movie actually sounds interesting enough to look at.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was based on a book of the same name, released in 2012, and actually had a hollywood-level budget.

Pedophilia: The Musical

It's a history of the Catholic Church.

[–] JackFrostNCola 7 points 1 year ago
  • directed by Tim Minchin
[–] TehBamski 5 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Holy shit! I'd pay to watch that.

edit: For the record, I would watch this, because it would cover the history of the Catholic Church's pedophilia ring and systematical legal issue dodging. Not for the pedophilia. That is all NSA.

Also, there is a true story movie about how the Boston Globe uncovered the massive scandal of child molestation and cover-up, called Spotlight.

Foreign Student Art Film Marathon (subtitled version)

[–] CynicRaven 10 points 1 year ago

Excellent choice. The dubbed version, done of course by first year theater actors, would make it even worse.

Yall remember the slap-chop guy Vince Offer? Before he was telling everyone how much they'd love his nuts he was hawking his Underground Comedy Movie. It was absolutely terrible, but they sold the shit out of it on late night infomercials. Everyone who saw it is stupid. I can say this because I saw it... and it was so bad it felt like my frontal lobe died and became a black hole in my brain. I am literally dumber for having volunteered to watch it.

They knew what they were doing.

If we're going with real titles, hardly anyone saw The Shawshank Redemption in theaters because nobody knew what the hell a Shawshank was.

An alarming number of people would say that this film renewed their faith in god. Granted, not enough people to prevent this film from being a net loss for the producers, but still. Yikes.
