"When I look at myself in the first grade and I look at myself now, I’m basically the same. The temperament is not that different." - Donald Trump

Yep. Sure sounds like an insult a first grader would come up with.

[–] cowfodder 43 points 4 months ago (3 children)

I mean, both versions of Trump are likely wearing a diaper full of shit, so...

Old man is running through nicknames so fast and none are sticking.

He's a few names away from calling her the N word or C word.

[–] then_three_more 19 points 4 months ago (5 children)

Or the P word. Or is that racial slur not such a thing in the states as it is in the UK for someone of south Asian descent?

[–] thedirtyknapkin 30 points 4 months ago (1 children)

i legit don't know what p word you mean. I think you're right about that not being used in the US

[–] then_three_more 7 points 4 months ago (1 children)
[–] grue 13 points 4 months ago (1 children)

What, like a shortened version of "Pakistani?" I guess maybe that could be a thing in the States, but I've literally never heard it.

I could see how it could piss off an Indian-American, though (just as I could see how being called "Indian" could piss off a Pakistani-American).

[–] then_three_more 6 points 4 months ago (3 children)

In the UK it's culturally seen as almost as bad as the n word.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 4 months ago (4 children)

Afaik it's definitely a slur here in the US, but most people have never met a Pakistani person and thus don't know to be racist against them.

Its a bit of a linguistic curiosity, because while it’s highly offensive in the UK, here in Boston, it’s a local/colloquial name for “liquor store” (literally, “packie” = “package store” as in “package of booze”). The more noticeable the townie accent, the more likely you’ll hear that term.

I had to stop and think to figure out what you meant; not really so much a thing here.

[–] ThePowerOfGeek 8 points 4 months ago

Yeah, that's much more of a UK slur.

“People vote with their STOMACH, and food is now at an all time high because of Kamabla/Biden INCOMPETENCE,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post Monday. “With them in charge, IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE!”

What appeared to be a typo was confirmed as an intentional misspelling of Harris’ first name in a follow-up post an hour later.

“Kamabla has stated, over and over again, that she wants to DEFUND THE POLICE AND, WITHOUT QUESTION, BAN FRACKING,” Trump wrote. “‘NO MORE FOSSIL FUEL.’ This will quadruple the cost of energy in America! DEPRESSION ANYONE!”

Sad. Like watching a banana overripen to the point where you can't even make banana bread with it.

[–] qantravon 21 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Confirmed as intentional? More like he's such a narcissist that when someone pointed out that he'd misspelled it, he doubled down.

She's literally a cop...

[–] negativenull 51 points 4 months ago (3 children)

TL/DR: He's trying to make 'Kamabla' a thing

[–] snekerpimp 31 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Harris’ campaign should pick this up and run with it, grab the rights to three dog night’s “shambala” and morph this into a positive slogan reeeeeeal quick.

[–] OhStopYellingAtMe 42 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

As “Dark Brandon” fades, a new warrior shall rise...

Enter: “Shadow Kambala.”

Edit: changed “Dark Kambala” to “Shadow Kambala” because it sounds cooler.

[–] [email protected] 38 points 4 months ago (3 children)

What, you think she could just wake up one day and turn dark?

[–] Iheartcheese 25 points 4 months ago

Oh my God you don't just ask somebody why they're dark

It's a shame when a man gets too old and feeble to speak or spell clearly.

[–] CobblerScholar 38 points 4 months ago (2 children)

Moron doesn't know how to spell a 7 letter word, weird

For someone whose forte is supposed to be nicknames Kamabla is remarkably weak and sad. Don't know if it's because Kamala is hard to find an angle on or if Trump is getting too old and slow, but one thing is for certain: Meatball Ron this ain't.

[–] fluxion 12 points 4 months ago

It's quite possibly one of the weakest nicknames in the history of the US... certainly in my lifetime... Not that I'm old... Not like Sleepy Joe Biden... There's a good one... Nickname that is. Not a good President... horrible president. Kamala... she's a bit younger than me..60s vs 70s (she says shes 59 but I've yet to see her birth certificate and im sorry... I've seen a lot of beautiful 59 year old women and Kamala looks so much older ... I'm sorry that's the truth). But yah whoever came up with this nickname should be fired. Oh that was me? And you think right now is the best time to point that out? Hey... Everyone...look at this RINO over here!

[–] [email protected] 24 points 4 months ago

What a weird insult

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod 18 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (2 children)

The first thing I think of when I see "Kamabla" is Three Dog Night's song "Shambala." Which is a lovely song about people being helpful and kind. So I'm just gonna stop thinking about it right there.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 4 months ago

I can't help but think of the drug that President Roslin was taking on the Battlestar Galactica remake. But that's because I'm a nerd.

I literally don't understand what he's going for with Kamabla. Like, literally, what the fuck does it mean or imply? What am I missing?

[–] brucethemoose 9 points 4 months ago

He's making fun of Kamala being indian!

How does no one get this? Am I the only one who grew up and watched other children get insulted for their name, or just being indian, exactly like this?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 months ago

Senior moment.
