For example, I'd take We Happy Few and put it into the hands of either Remedy (of Alan Wake & Control fame) or IO Interactive (of Hitman series fame).

I would just undo all the mergers and acquisitions. In 90% of cases, this just results in the games being worse, and the magic that made the studios great is extinguished.

Pokemon, any mainline game really, made by a competent studio with enough time. Let's say Monolith since they made the best RPGs on the switch.

Just imagine what for example Legends Arceus could have been with the amount of polish Xenoblade has.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Imagine Larian Studios doing Pokemon Crystal.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 10 months ago (1 children)

So instead of a bear druid you get Vaporeon, huh?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago

Hey guys, did you know that in terms of male human and female Pokémon breeding, Vaporeon is the most compatible Pokémon for humans? Not only are they in the field egg group, which is mostly comprised of mammals, Vaporeon are an average of 3”03’ tall and 63.9 pounds, this means they’re large enough to be able handle human dicks, and with their impressive Base Stats for HP and access to Acid Armor, you can be rough with one. Due to their mostly water based biology, there’s no doubt in my mind that an aroused Vaporeon would be incredibly wet, so wet that you could easily have sex with one for hours without getting sore. They can also learn the moves Attract, Baby-Doll Eyes, Captivate, Charm, and Tail Whip, along with not having fur to hide nipples, so it’d be incredibly easy for one to get you in the mood. With their abilities Water Absorb and Hydration, they can easily recover from fatigue with enough water. No other Pokémon comes close to this level of compatibility. Also, fun fact, if you pull out enough, you can make your Vaporeon turn white. Vaporeon is literally built for human dick. Ungodly defense stat+high HP pool+Acid Armor means it can take cock all day, all shapes and sizes and still come for more.

Halo infinite by a company that isn't 343 for fucks sake

[–] [email protected] 9 points 10 months ago (2 children)

In an ideal world, the only company that should've worked on HALO games was Bungie.

The Halo wars games were good

[–] toomanypancakes 14 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I'm just curious what From Software would do with Super Metroid, not that it needs a remake

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago

From Software could also probably do a cool take on Jade Empire.

Command and Conquer Generals - Zero Hour, Remade by Westwood Studios

A dream come true, but very unlikely, given how EA treated the C&C IP over the last few years.

[–] Raptor_007 2 points 10 months ago

Love me some Generals: Zero Hour. Haven’t played in a while, but I’ve loved the Contra mod.

[–] SoggyBread 9 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I'd take my chances to see either of the Orre region pokemon games remade or expanded with a third release

[–] dustyData 5 points 10 months ago

Man, at this point people just want the games to be finished.

[–] AWittyUsername 9 points 10 months ago

Larian doing Knights of the old republic.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 10 months ago

A new NFL 2K(5) by the original 2K team on modern hardware. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE GOD.

[–] yamanii 6 points 10 months ago

F-Zero by sega again, they nailed it so perfectly that Nintendo to this day didn't dare make a new one.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 10 months ago

A Pokémon remake by Valve. It'll come out a decade late, sure, but knowing Valve, they'd try out a bunch of new tech and mechanics (desperately needed by Pokémon) and then polish it up to excellent quality.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 10 months ago

Blast Corps remade by any one who wants to remake Blast Corps.

Please.

Someone.

Anyone.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago

I'd want Gears for Breakfast to remake Avatar: The Last Airbender - Quest for Balance

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago

FlatOut 3: Bugbear Entertainment

LOL

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago

Minecraft by relogic

[–] raynethackery 3 points 10 months ago

Ultima 4 Quest of the Avatar by Larian Studios. With Lord British's approval, of course.

[–] livedeified 2 points 10 months ago

Earthworm Jim by Rare. Maybe Conker's Bad Fur Day by Rockstar.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 10 months ago

Basically any modern AAA game, but made by Blizzard of 1995

[–] piskertariot 2 points 10 months ago

A Starship Troopers game from 1990s Blizzard Entertainment.

A red dead redemption game from From Software

[–] BrianTheeBiscuiteer 2 points 10 months ago

I don't know what studio (Rockstar maybe) but I'd love a revamp of Freedom Fighters. I reinstall and play through the that game every few years. It's really almost perfect as-is but graphics could be modernized and AI could be a little less stupid.

[–] Resol 2 points 10 months ago

I'd let Emily Pitcher from Sondering Studio remake every single game with soundtracks composed by Lena Raine. This includes Chicory, Celeste, and of course, Minecraft.

It would be kinda difficult for her to remake that last one ngl.

Also, I'm the one that remasters the soundtracks to make them sound like they came out of a Sega Mega Drive (for Muricans: Sega Genesis). This is clearly the worst idea I've ever come up with considering how long this would take especially for only 2 people.

[–] hoch 2 points 10 months ago

Banjo-Tooie, but remade by Rare

[–] SirBucksworth 2 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Albion from 1996. The old game from Blue Bytes. I just need the same game, but running without emulation or dosbox on new hardware and maybe some upscaling, nothing more!

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago

Made by Larian ♥️

[–] mojofrododojo 2 points 10 months ago

Mechwarrior. The first one. Remade by Piranha Games or some indie outfit, just respect the material, expand the universe, mission negotiations, recruitable mercs, fidelity. Keep the story.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Metroid Prime Hunters. By Nintendo of course.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Total Annihilation3 by a rebuilt caveDog software.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

If you haven't checked out Beyond All Reason yet, you really should.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Star Citizen, Valve's long delayed first foray into the world of MMOs.

[–] agitatedpotato 1 points 10 months ago

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite made by the Capcom that maded mvc 2 and 3 instead of whatever demon spawn of Capcom ended up making mvci.

[–] troydowling 1 points 10 months ago

ToonStruck, remastered, or the shelved sequel ressurected. I'd like Burst to (exist again and) handle the development because they did a fantastic job the first time around!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Independence War and Independence War 2 remake by Aerovery Labs, or maybe Eagle Dynamics would be dapper.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

2k should remake the SNES title Krusty's Funhouse

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

an interesting take would be dune/ diablo by omega-force so it has musou overtones.

super mario rpg / dragon quest with atlus persona glitter

morrowind with larian mechanics or via the capcom RE engine

tales of phantasia/ eternia with ark system works

valkyrie profile c/o vanillaware

[–] ObsidianZed 1 points 10 months ago

Red Faction by Embark Studios, the former Dice devs behind The Finals

[–] [email protected] 0 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 children)

The Witcher series but made by FromSoftware

Edit: not because CDPR did a poor job on it. The Witcher games are my most played games on Steam. I'd just be super interested to see a FromSoft take on the combat and storytelling.

[–] skybreaker -1 points 10 months ago

Golden Sun. Square Enix.
