I'd like to see some kind of chart that compares Republican lawmakers who have voted against women/trans/gay rights, and subsequently been caught in controversy around sex with that specific group (anti-gay gets caught with a guy) VERSUS how many registered Democrat lawmakers in the same scenario.(anti-gay legislation, caught with dude type deal)

[–] [email protected] 65 points 10 months ago (1 children)

The Moms For Liberty founder having ongoing lesbian sex is the cherry on top. It’s tough keeping track of all the awful shit they do.

[–] captainlezbian 28 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Shit like that always baffles me. Like at least with the pedos like gaetz they have to hide because nobody is cool with it, but people like that lady have to know that if she wasn’t such a bigot nobody would give a shit. You want a bisexual polycule? Who fucking cares‽ On the left it’s not a problem.

[–] ThePyroPython 17 points 10 months ago

The thing is: the left won't vote for them because they have no actual policy ideas.

So they position themselves as a right wing and throw the correct red-meat to the crowd and boom, now you're in office and can do all the insider trading and/or leaking to journalists to curry favour for a future book deal.

It's a grift. That's it.

Whoa. Pikachu is really bulking up

[–] Viking_Hippie 9 points 10 months ago

"Mommy, why is Pikachu talking with a German accent?"

"That's Austrian, Cornelius. Now hush and let mommy watch her Adult Swim"

[–] WindyRebel 6 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Get to da Pokeball! GOOOOOO!

[–] [email protected] 6 points 10 months ago

C'mon! Do it! Catch me! Catch me NOW! DOOO IIIT!!!

[–] [email protected] 33 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Well, after following what's been happening in Trump world over the past 5 years, I think it's safe to say that nothing will ever happen to these people no matter what they've done.

[–] Snapz 6 points 10 months ago (1 children)

You're literally commenting this on the day when trump got a $400 million dollar judgement landed against him... Even if he wants to keep trying his bullshit now, he'll have to post over 100% of what he owes to continue.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I'm just going to go out on a limb here and guess that he'll never pay a single dime of that because "witch hunt yada yada"

[–] HandBreadedTools 8 points 10 months ago (5 children)

You should really look into the case as to why that won't happen. The judge took special care to ensure Trump has no way to weasel out of paying: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/ny-fraud-case-damages-pay-millions-judge-engoron-rcna135283

Tldr: judge appointed two independent people, one to monitor his personal wealth and the other to monitor his company's finances. All of his assets in New York are completely frozen, as Trump moved all of what he owned to his company. He did this to claim he does not have a high net worth, but it backfired as he cannot use or sell his assets to pay the bill.

He can try to appeal, but 1) the only way he can do that is by claiming the case was a mistrial, that he was treated unfairly, and 2) he must put 110% of what he owes into a bond that will be held by the court during the appeal process. There are other things I didn't go over, just know the dude is actually fucked.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (2 children)

I want to believe this is going to happen, but I've just learned by now that Trump always finds a way to weasel out even when it seems there's no way to weasel out.

I'm sure he'll be able to convince some judge that he was treated unfairly for political reasons, and all that will happen is that he'll be rewarded with millions of conservative votes.

Yes, I'm cynical when it comes to Trump.

Who would have guessed the guy who looks like Butt-Head and comes off as a piece of shit had to pay women, and allegedly minors, for sex! Shocked, I tell you, I am shocked!!

[–] [email protected] 18 points 10 months ago (1 children)

And you just know he thinks of himself as some kind of a gigachad alpha male. Dude can't even organize an orgy for his pals without paying the women. Lame ass.

[–] 24_at_the_withers 5 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I mean, I'm pretty sure I couldn't organize an orgy even if I did offer to pay. I'm not a lame ass.

I'm sure there's a line around the block of women who were paid for sex parties. How is this not prostitution? Oh yeah, they're politicians and rules don't apply to them.

[–] moistclump 16 points 10 months ago

My sex party the only moral sex party

[–] [email protected] 5 points 10 months ago (1 children)

She claims she wasn't paid for sex but to attend the party and that the sex was consensual. There are certainly other ethical/moral/legal concerns about this whole thing, but if you are honestly looking for why this wouldn't be considered prostitution...well, you simply have to read the article and the answer is pretty obvious.

Gaetz will be crushed. He's committed several "sins" that even the Republican's will not tolerate nor forgive; publicly exposing the coke fueled parties is one and sending the GoP into a spiral with his crusade against McCarthy is another.

[–] jettrscga 15 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (2 children)

The morality goal posts got removed a while ago.

I think the only way to get kicked out now is if they don't like you already. And even then... Ted Cruz, you know?

[–] meco03211 5 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I imagine Cancun Cruz is allowed because he's mostly self sufficient. He strikes me as the type that knows enough of the ins and outs that the other leaders don't have to babysit him and tell him things like "don't admit to the crack and orgies".

[–] Passerby6497 6 points 10 months ago

One of my favorite quotes about Tedward is about how Al Franken said he liked him more than most of his colleagues, and he fucking hated Cruz.

Hasn't stuck to him yet, why do you think it will?

[–] nutsack 3 points 10 months ago

they tolerate and forgive this sort of thing constantly.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (3 children)

You can tell who has been around the block a few times and who hasn't based on how trustworthy someone thinks Matt Gaetz is.

Dude looks like every frat boy cokehead rapist creep that I met in college. How did he even manage to get as far as Congress is beyond me. I wouldn't even trust him to tell me what the good brand of pomade is.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 10 months ago

How did he even manage to get as far as Congress is beyond me.

His fucking father. This is American Oligarchy shit.

[–] shalafi 5 points 10 months ago

Dapper Dan's is the goat.

[–] Chocrates 4 points 10 months ago
[–] inclementimmigrant 16 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I highly doubt this will do a damn thing to him honestly. These are the morals of the Republican party after all.

[–] LifeInMultipleChoice 5 points 10 months ago (3 children)

It impacts slowly but it does. Many conservatives believe in puritanical views in sexual relationships. Slowly people are realizing... It is just way to slow

[–] _g_be 8 points 10 months ago

They've compromised their views for less

[–] brlemworld 2 points 10 months ago

They still voted for "grab em by the pussy"

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Naw, they just wave their magic book and say fervently that god works through flawed vessels.

[–] Lemminary 13 points 10 months ago (1 children)

From one fellow queer to another, Gaetz, what are you doing with that woman? 🤭

[–] captainlezbian 6 points 10 months ago

Is he queer? I always got actually cishet vibes from him. He’s just a pedo

And also, why can't I be invited to sex parties with the rich and powerful?

[–] SinningStromgald 4 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Are you rich and powerful? If no, that is your answer.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 children)

If they're good looking enough, maybe they could be invited as "talent".

[–] SinningStromgald 2 points 10 months ago

No nudes in profile so unlikely.

[–] Rapidcreek 4 points 10 months ago

I'm sure she wasn't paid enough to cover the cost of her PTSD treatment.
