Surprise! Trump signing a big 'ole nothing burger, and his followers will eat it up. As of December, only 15 federally funded universities are still requiring the vaccine, and being such a short list, I didn't even recognize any of them.

I don't have kids, but I'm always hearing from my coworkers in Texas about how their kids are bringing colds home, and how the schools get so bad that they have to close the schools down and go remote for a bit. If only there was some miracle of modern science that would help prevent this? Lol

[–] WrenFeathers 13 points 17 hours ago

They sure do love protecting their children, don’t they?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 17 hours ago

I can't wait to die when my child brings home the superaviancovidflubird

[–] [email protected] 101 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He's trying to end something that didn't exist in the first place.

[–] [email protected] 53 points 1 day ago (2 children)

maga nuts and redcaps cheer anyway because they're too stupid to know different and just blindly believe and support everything that leaks out of the diaper.

[–] [email protected] 29 points 1 day ago

Well, at least eggs are.... more expensive than ever.

[–] joekar1990 11 points 1 day ago

Just like how they think the department of education sets the ciriculum in the states.

That poster is infuriating.

"My body, my choice" from the anti-choice crowd... The fucking nerve.

[–] CharlesDarwin 15 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

It's intentionally infuriating. It's just like how they say their J6 day of terror was "peaceful" - it's to mock BLM protests which they insist "burned cities to the ground".

Also, they don't understand how public health works when they talk about "my body my choice". Something like herd immunity doesn't give a fuck about their feelings.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 hours ago

Show em the data that shows a significant amount of them are pedophiles. After going on about the third J6 Pedo they will shut up or change the convo real fast. I used to keep a list of all the Republican rapists to just drone on about anytime I needed to.

[–] CharlesDarwin 11 points 20 hours ago

Sheer insanity. This is just about shrieking harpies on the right being total Karens about simple and common sense public hygiene.

Tomorrow:

Judge halts trumps order to end federal funding for schools requiring COVID vaccines.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago)

and they are not going to send the money anyway and will simply ignore the judge.

or someone is going to change their mind...

[–] simplejack 30 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It not going to happen because no schools do this right now. Trump is banning a made-up problem because MAGAs are still grumpy about shit that ended 3 years ago.

[–] Soup 3 points 1 day ago

I mean, I’d love to see republicans prosecuted for all their crimes even though it’s been a few years. Three years wasn’t that long ago, the real issue is that what they want isn’t based in any level of reality.

[–] Brunbrun6766 7 points 1 day ago

The next day, federal judge lifts halt on Trump's order to end federal funding for schools requiring COVID vaccines.

[–] TropicalDingdong 1 points 1 day ago

The next day:

Trump continues to withhold funding in-spite of judges order.

as-in, this is what is actually already happening

There is no points in courts or law if the system charged with administering them is above the law. The supreme court broke our constitution with their interpretation of executive power. Biden should have forced this issue by simply arresting Trump the day after the ruling and then just be like "Sup, Roberts?"

[–] jaggedrobotpubes 4 points 17 hours ago

"Death to the children."

[–] [email protected] 4 points 17 hours ago

Looking forward to bird flu going viral.

[–] thejoker954 23 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Next will be funding cut from schools requiring any vaccines.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 day ago

Next will be funding cut from schools ~~requiring any vaccines.~~

FTFY.

Any excuse to defund schools. They don't want an educated populous.

[–] Alteon 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's like they want us to be sick.

[–] KenTheEagle 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I mean companies have to collect that check

rfk is a special kind of "driving down the interstate with a headless whale" kind of insane. Like... that man is genuinely broken.

As for the rest? They are trying to recreate the pandemic. They saw MASSIVE wealth from that because household spending on necessities was down (because we were all preppers with dry beans and crates of spam...) while luxury spending was through the roof as we were trying to drown out the voices telling us it was the end of the world. And, ignoring the people with long covid (since the world has been doing that for years), people were generally "okay". Yeah, we all lost some loved ones but most people lasted long enough to get the vaccines that were more or less just awaiting FDA approval.

And hey, we already have vaccines for measles and mumps and so forth. What is that about a variant? Eh, who cares. We'll figure it out. NUMBER GO UP!!!

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago

Which is the actual goal.

"See, we stopped the covid mandate and the world didn't end. That 's because people who need the vaccine can get the shot and the rest of us can ignore it. And we are gonna do the same to measles"

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

Yeah I was wondering…. Hope nobody tells him schools require mmr and others….

[–] Gammelfisch 6 points 1 day ago

The polio virus is delighted with the future under the MAGA fucktards.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 23 hours ago

Man I'm so fuckin glad I'm out of school and don't have kids. Schools are about to become like little biodomes, full of all sortsa new and evolving infectious diseases, because they're not gonna stop here. Captain Brainworms is gonna tell Trump to ban all vaccines some day, and Trump is going to do it.
