I’m struggling a little to understand the main aim of this comment. It’s not untrue, there’re just a lot of parts going in different directions and, potentially, coming from different places. Without context it’s kinda just a surface observation, ya know?

The headline isn.t misleading, you had bad reading comprehension and are unable to face the fact that the country is a violent shithole. Cope harder.

  1. Article is fairly old, though it is stated that Mahmoud is a leader of a sorts in the Columbia campus movement so we can guess he didn’t show up yesterday.
  2. These protests started peacefully ages ago and the current administration is outright banning them. What are they gunna do, just sit down and take it?
  3. Palestine is being aggressively ethnically cleansed right now and the US government is enabling it with a smile on its face. Context is important because fighting back against people who consider you vermin is not a fucking hate crime. Zionists can fuck right off.

Because not listening to horrible people literally tell you what they’re gunna do is how that dogshit country got into this mess in the first place.

“A Lemmy version of” is what they wrote. It’s only one sentence, surely you can put the pieces together.

Oh, some rents are getting crazy and the buildings were purchased 10-20 years ago so the mortgage isn’t that high. It’s all a scam.

And the other 15%…?

[–] Soup 3 points 5 days ago

No, but he’s “earned” it or “doesn’t abuse it like they do” or whatever else these people because they fundamentally do not understand that other people are real.

Ya know, the best part of this fentanyl thing is how much conservatives loathe people addicted drugs, something that usually happens when a person is struggling under the very systems they seek to reinforce. They will villainize them at every turn but once they’re dead they’ll use them to attack their opponents even if the entire fault rests on their own shoulders.

And then they’ll do whatever the fuck this and buddy the demand for narcotics is only going to go up.

Jeep parent company Stellantis has acknowledged the issue. MSN reports, “They attributed the persistent nature of the ad to a temporary software glitch that affected the opt-out functionality in certain cases. The company assured that the glitch had been identified and corrected, and they are reaching out to affected customers to resolve the matter.”

Ya know, software can’t just make shit up. If there’s no ad to begin with it can’t suddenly create one and display it. Hey Stellantis, why the fuck are the any sort of ads at all loaded into the infotainment system?
