Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.

Summary

Snoop Dogg faced backlash from fans after performing at the "Crypto Ball," a black-tie event celebrating Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration.

Snoop, who once criticized Trump in his music and public statements, praised him in 2024 and performed his hit "Nuthin’ but a G Thang" at the $2,500-$5,000 per ticket event hosted by tech moguls.

Fans labeled the performance "embarrassing" and "disrespectful," citing his past anti-Trump sentiments, including a music video and song that mocked Trump during his first term.

Rap's biggest sellout sells out.

[–] DrFistington 11 points 9 hours ago

Snoop has always been a second rate sell out who has to make up words to be able to rhyme. He can fuck right off this planet. He's worn out his welcome

[–] letsgo2themall 62 points 13 hours ago

Lap Doggy Dogg

[–] [email protected] 40 points 13 hours ago

Sellout and collaborator. I won't forget this.

[–] [email protected] 61 points 16 hours ago

I soured on Snoop a couple years ago when I realized that he is a brand and not a genuine person.

[–] Coreidan 67 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Come on man. This dude has always been a sellout.

He’s always been on my shit list. I’ve never liked him. Now I have even MORE reason to dislike this fuck bag.

Fuck this murdering piece of shit.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 hour ago

Not to defend him, but sources I found said he was an accomplice, not the one to pulled the trigger. He was the getaway driver.

[–] DicJacobus 13 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

you aren't allowed to dislike the president anymore.

if you aren't with him, then you're just antifa hooligans.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 11 hours ago

I was antifa hooligan before it was mandatory

RuPaul: please take off your mask.

Trump audience: we would like to keep it on please.

It’s been pretty clear for a while now that Snoop is a poser, just like Ice T. They play a part, but they don’t actually stand for anything. It’s a shame that, as they’ve aged, these assholes have undermined the merit of their earlier work.

[–] [email protected] 24 points 17 hours ago

Which is really funny because Snoop was a banger

Dude got rich and has now spent more than half his life famous though so he's super far form those roots now

[–] Bonesince1997 14 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Dave Chappelle comes to mind as well.

I will say at least Ice T still performs Cop Killer with his band on tour. That song goes hard.

[–] [email protected] 43 points 20 hours ago (3 children)

I wonder if Epstein has anything to do with this relationship?

[–] [email protected] 75 points 23 hours ago (5 children)

I guess Snoop will do anything for cash these days. Super disappointing... Money buys too much.

Gotta remove his tracks for any of my playlist.

It's not like he even needs the money, like he was in a desperate situation and it was this gig or lose the farm. Just did it because he doesn't care and is greedy. Disgusting and disappointing.

[–] Coreidan 10 points 17 hours ago

Greed is a hell of a drug. Don’t pretend this guy has principles or morals.

It's interesting how the past few months have made it super easy to tell who is an indefensible piece of shit. Lots of previously unassuming-to-"cool" personalities suddenly going whole-hog for fascism in the US.

[–] But_my_mom_says_im_cool 46 points 22 hours ago (4 children)

Stallone is one I never thought about in a political sense and now I know he’s a piece of shit, and I don’t want you watch him anymore. Gibson was a guy who everyone knew was trash but he just keeps doubling down, Jon voight as well, plus he bit Kramer’a arm that time

[–] Psythik 39 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

I've always prefered Schwarzenegger anyway.

Not to imply that he hasn't done his fair share of awful things. But at least he refuses to side with fascists.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 17 hours ago (3 children)

When he was my governor (growing up I could see the capitol dome from my house if you stood on the roof) I remember I was at some event and he was being moved by people, some guy asked him some righty chud identity politics bullshit and Arny just looks over at him with this "I have 0 time for your bullshit" face and just says

"Maybe don't be asshole, hm?" And turns to talk to someone else

Arnold isn't perfect, at all. He might be the only Republican I've seen earn even a micro ounce of respect, though

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 hour ago

Robin Williams hit the nail on the head when talking about Arnold. A paraphrase could be: "He's a Democrat about everything but illegal immigration"

[–] mipadaitu 24 points 16 hours ago

He posted pretty publicly after Jan 6th about how he grew up in the aftermath of Nazism.

People can be complex, and as a conservative, he's certainly not on the correct side of every issue, but he's not afraid to speak against the rise of fascist ideology.
