OMG, those two trailer are the best news in gaming in years! A new witcher game and a new naughty dog game !

If you played witcher 3 and didn't think ciri would be the protagonist of 4 you are very dumb.

There were some leaks or rumors that the main protagonist of the new Witcher game will be somebody new from the new School of the Lynx.

I was excited to play as somebody completely new and somebody who isn't in Geralt's circle.

Ciri is a great character though and I'm looking forward to the game either way.

Ciri’s medallion in the trailer was a Lynx medallion. It’s probable we will see a new character that’s a Lynx witcher, maybe either a student or teacher to Ciri.

I haven’t played any of the games. I only watched the Netflix series and it’s pretty fucking obvious that Ciri is Geralt’s heir-apparent.

And if you read the books, it also comes as no surprise.

I am looking not respectfully in the slightest.

In fact I am drooling violently!

Wait till they hear about Ciri's lesbian episode in the books.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 21 hours ago

But if they read books they couldn’t grift nearly as much

I'm still traumatized by how that ended. Fucking grim.

[–] Cossty 6 points 1 day ago

Hmm, I don't really remember that. But I read those books a LONG time ago. It is time for reread I guess.

I mostly just remember

Tap for spoilerHow Geralt and Ciri met, some dude that could turn into golden dragon, Ciri on frozen lake, Regis, some bad mage with similar name as Voldemort

Username checks out btw.

That's Ciri, right? Forgive me, but who's the other person?

I don't follow the gamergate crowd (or Twitter, at all), but isn't it established that female protags in games are awesome? FemV and FemShep VAs freaking killed their roles. Kassandra was so much better than... whoever her brother was. And don't even get my started with squadmates, like Gamora in GOTG or literally anyone female in BG3.

Like, even if I was a raging sexist, the argument that a female protag is unimmersive is beyond stupid.

The character in Naughty Dog's new game, Intergalactic. Naturally there's been uproar over a FEMALE with a SHAVED HEAD.

[–] Sanctus 29 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Ladies with shaved heads is like the most chrome, retrofuturism shit besides having partially shaved heads. I'm just so glad I can fucken enjoy things god damn.

[–] PugJesus 15 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Women have no obligation to please me, but the rise of popularity of ladies with shaved heads and undercuts in the late '10s and early-mid '20s now is immensely satisfying to my aesthetic tastes.

But ultimately, anyone throwing a shitfit over a protagonist's hairstyle because it's 'too/not enough' 'masculine/feminine' is major cringe.

[–] hOrni 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Was there ever an uproar over Geralt having long hair?

[–] aeronmelon 8 points 1 day ago

Yes, but it was mostly slashfic writers who kept to themselves.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago

Did we learn nothing from Chris Rock and Will Smith

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Is there some meaning in DEl-licious I'm not getting?

[–] ZILtoid1991 1 points 8 hours ago

Yet another rebrand of the "cultural-Bolshevism" panic the whole anti-SJW thing actually was.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 21 hours ago (2 children)

DEI has been the newest word for reactionary grifters to get mad at, like SJW or woke

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 hours ago

Oh it's an "I" (aye). Thought it was a lowercase L. Sans serif is a plague on society

[–] [email protected] 3 points 13 hours ago

Usually it's more about black people though, it's basically just a stand in for the n word
