Okay I know the second statement from him is the main point but I can't just leave the first one be. Where the fuck is that a "tight parking garage"??? Ay parking garage that fits a cyber truck is not a "tight parking garage". You can easily park 2 cars in that spot wtf

[–] [email protected] 42 points 8 months ago

I think he's just admitting he's a bad driver. I've backed trailers into tighter spaces.

[–] khannie 17 points 8 months ago

Very first thing I thought too. Absolutely mental to call that a tight parking spot.

[–] mean_bean279 120 points 8 months ago (1 children)

The cyber truck is a piece of shit. Tesla is an F-tier car maker and Elon can go fuck himself… but like this guy is just being considerate with this. If it’s not meant for walking, and it’s just crossed out due to issues with the building/garage design, then just scoot over a bit to give everyone else some space.

[–] [email protected] 38 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago) (1 children)

It's as much self preservation, but I think it's a no brainer here. You're not being a dick going over on that side imo.

[–] Voyajer 10 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Not that you need to be afraid of someone dooring your stainless behemoth in the first place unless you don't want to have to wipe their paint off your's.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 8 months ago (2 children)

Aren't little dings actually super bad for the Cybertruck because it rusts really easily?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 8 months ago

Yeah, having them repaired is going to be a nightmare.

Deloreans had a similar problem. Dents and scratches couldn’t be repaired with traditional bodywork techniques. They had a special Brillo/scotchbrite pad that would put the texture back into metal if you buffed it too hard.

[–] Voyajer 4 points 8 months ago

The metal is already exposed

[–] olympicyes 86 points 8 months ago (1 children)

I can’t imagine how embarrassing it would be to drive one of these. Like the rich man’s Pontiac Aztek.

[–] Zehzin 25 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago) (1 children)

Now listen here bucko, the Pontiac Aztek might be the (now second) ugliest thing to ever wander the Earth on wheels but at least it was a competent, if expensive, crossover.

This monstrosity has no saving grace other than telling other people that the driver sucks.

Wait where does the Fiat Multipla fit in? The one with the moobs

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Let's not forget about the Ford Pinto!

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago (1 children)

And whatever car the person reading this drives.

Every picture of this car looks like someone did a bad photoshop of a lo-res car from a video game and it's hilarious

[–] [email protected] 28 points 8 months ago

Like the old Lara Croft

[–] GladiusB 4 points 8 months ago

One passed me this morning. God it was ugly.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago (1 children)

The fake-looking-ness of it is the only decent(?) trait.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

If I was playing Quake and found one I'd be fucking pumped. Now? Not so much

[–] fox2263 73 points 8 months ago (2 children)

It’s like a vehicle in a game that’s in the distance using its low poly model and hasnt rendered yet.

[–] [email protected] 29 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago) (3 children)

Everybody always comments how the Cybertruck looks like a child's drawing of a car, but to me, with its bland, shiny, flat exterior and painfully simplistic tail lights (come on, Elon, even Volkswagen knows how to make a car look futuristic), it reminds me of nothing so much as the sheet metal abomination Topgear came up with when asked to build an electric car

[–] [email protected] 15 points 8 months ago

The Hammerhead Eagle i-Thrust was way better looking and had cooler features than the CyberTruck

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

I am not a huge fan of the cybertruck, Elon, or Tesla but imo that Volkswagen looks exactly like a toy. I don't like it at all.

I personally don't think the cybertruck looks like a toy, it just looks weird and way too big. I don't really see the problem with the taillights except that they are way too high up.

I also don't think they made the cybertruck because they don't know how to make a futuristic car. They have competent designers that know how to make a imo decent looking car.

They (quite likely being forced by Elon) just wanted to create a unique car. It's likely that the design goal always was "a geometric stainless steel car" and not something they came up with after.

I personally think stainless steel cars look really cool, whether it's practical or not I don't know. A geometric car sound like it could be cool but this ain't it.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

I want that bus so bad but they're definitely overpriced toys for the rich.

Least self-centered truck driver

[–] SkybreakerEngineer 38 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Look at his parking, not centered at all

[–] fuckwit_mcbumcrumble 23 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Nobody can park in the space he’s taking up. Parking on the line like that gives more space for the cars next to him.

[–] DogWater 53 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Those lines aren't for a handicapped spot, so honestly, more power to him. It's dead space bc of the pillar.

[–] [email protected] 47 points 8 months ago

Yeah, whenever you have dead space on one side you hug that side to give more space to both you and the person on the other side.

Last spot on the aisle, curb, pillar between spots, cart return, whatever.

Being a cybertruck driver he's almost certainly a douche, but this isn't why he's a douche.

[–] calcopiritus 46 points 8 months ago

Holy shit that parking space is huge. It makes the cyber truck look tiny

[–] SPRUNT 41 points 8 months ago

How you park isn't why people are staying away from you...

[–] Voyajer 33 points 8 months ago (2 children)

I mean, I wouldn't have worded it that way, but I'm all for giving the guy next to you extra room so they can park easier.

[–] brianorca 26 points 8 months ago

The yellow hash isn't protecting anything, such as a handicap space or a walkway. It's just saying this one isn't a parking spot because of the big pole in the middle.

“Easy” he says, parking in a space that is fit for a fucking tank

[–] taanegl 18 points 8 months ago

I'm sorry, I thought I was in c/ImATotalPieceOfShit

[–] Dexx1s 15 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Kinda related, but what's the point of the area painted yellow anyway? It's not like I can't see the giant pillar without it.

[–] JJROKCZ 28 points 8 months ago (2 children)

Without it people would honestly see space between two cars and hit the pole. The yellow hashes are there because drivers honestly do hit these poles if the hashes aren’t there because drivers are looking for space between cars and sometimes don’t register the relatively small pole

[–] [email protected] 8 points 8 months ago

now consider that the pole is more visible than most humans are, and it becomes quite obvious why there are so many injuries and deaths around cars.

[–] TheBat 5 points 8 months ago

don’t register the relatively small pole

That's what she said... 😞

[–] [email protected] 14 points 8 months ago

Least self centered Tesla owner

[–] iAvicenna 14 points 8 months ago (1 children)

this truck reminds me of computer games from 25 years ago when the 3D graphics was just starting to be popular

[–] Etterra 6 points 8 months ago

Low poly but with realistic collision physics. Neat.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Are all Tesla owners a++holes?

[–] Everythingispenguins 12 points 8 months ago

Just the ones that tell you they are a Tesla owner.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 8 months ago (2 children)

I'm yet to see a photo of this car where it actually looks good, they look like the owner was impatient and drove it off the line before it could be painted.

I know it's not the point of this post, but that's "hugging the post"? He's probably >2' away from it!

[–] [email protected] 10 points 8 months ago

His mind will be blown if he ever parks a small aka normal car
