I don't always agree with Al Sharpton, but he's right. Man is so racist he paid for newspaper ads saying the Central Park Five should get the death penalty. Just saying it wasn't good enough, he had to pay to get that message out to a wider audience. That's next level hate. He'd throw these rappers under the bus in a heartbeat. Or pay someone else to do it.

Not only that, but even after they were exonerated Trump hasn't moved from that position. He would literally prefer to execute innocents over admitting he was wrong once.

[–] Zombiepirate 17 points 1 year ago (1 children)

He also claimed for years that Obama wasn't a real American because he was born in Kenya.

Man is racist AF, but knows how to dog whistle.

Those aren't dog whistles. They're bull horns. Racists used to dog whistle. They stopped that at least 7 years ago.

Oh, don't get me wrong: it is to you and me.

All conservatives need though is the thinnest sheen of plausible deniability. His MO is making that deniability as close to the line as possible (with both his racism and illegal activities).

The GOP rubes just need an excuse; it doesn't much matter how transparent it is to outsiders.

Maybe 'dog whistle' is the wrong name for it? Either way, providing excuses for racists to claim they're not is a particular specialty of his.

Trump basically had a decade long temper tantrum because an uppity Black guy became president. Prior he just did TV and occasionally showed up to WWE. That's how racist he is.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Wasn't he outed by hos niece or something. Could be someone else, but I remember reading he was pretty casually dropping all the race slurs at the dinner table.

Dude is racist AF, it is not that hard to figure out just by the surnames he gives people.

To the best of our knowledge, his father never renounced his affiliation with the KKK.

They joined the Leopard's Eating Faces Party because they think having six zeroes in their bank account balance will magically erase their melanin and thus ensure their faces don't get eaten. Ask the Log Cabin Republicans how supporting that party has worked for them. Not at a GOP convention tho, since ya know, they're banned from them for being gay.

Sellouts gonna sellout.

Why are black people supporting a man who had to be sued by the Justice Department to force him to rent to black people?

The lawsuit was based on evidence gathered by testers for the New York City Human Rights Division, which alleged that black people who went to Trump buildings were told there were no apartments available, while white people were offered units.

[–] dangblingus 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That was in the 90s. No one alive today remembers the 90s.

RIP me 🙁

In all fairness, both Keef and Pump are famously dipshits. They're both literally high school dropouts.

While Keef especially can definitely pop out bangers, he's not exactly a person anyone comes to for anything intelligent.

Kanye West is one of the greatest rappers and producers in music history and is famously both stupid and an asshole. Being talented does not equate to being smart.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 1 year ago

Chief Keef is hated in his own neighborhood because instead of bailing out a lifelong friend from jail, he blew 25k at a strip club. He's also not allowed back to Illinois because of a shitload of unpaid child support.

Character wise, I wonder why he might like Trump?

[–] JJROKCZ 14 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Keef and pump are drug addled idiots, Kanye is a man with mental illness who is too paranoid to take the drugs that will help him. Kanye has a lot of work to do to get back in peoples good graces but his is more of a sad story than a he’s an idiot that’s it story

[–] SCB 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I think all 3 are sad stories, but it's better to be disadvantaged and also one of the richest men alive than to be disadvantaged and not

I empathize with West, but cannot accept him using his global platform to demean mental health responses, because my family fell apart due to my mother's similar rejection of mental health treatment.

Once he goes public, especially with his passion, with that stance, he opens himself up to criticism for it, in my view.

Also the whole slavery thing.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Kanye is definitely stupid af and I say this as a person who will routinely go weeks at a time only listening to his albums end to end.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 year ago

Back in the 90s rappers would bring up Donald Trump as a symbol for wealth and success. If they're still doing that they haven't really been paying attention.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago

Don't forget Ice Cube. He's been aligning with those fascists too.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

The master's tools will never dismantle the master's house.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Against another candidate I'd say this is a good point, but if you're bringing up Trump's past you're just opening the door to: "BiDeN WaS RaCiSt ToO iN tHe PaSt!"

It's not the slam dunk they think it is :/

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

ehhh dont care, biden was racist too in the past and perhaps maybe we shouldnt elect racist folks into office lol

A good point made by a bad person (any person) remains a good point.

Don't ad hominem your own mind.

...but, but, but according to the internet only rich, white old men support Trump.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Plenty of idiots out there. I don't get it. Ruch or poor at the end of the day Republicans think minorities should be second class citizens. I mean look at the maps in republican states that have been found to be racist in nature and yet they refuse to change even when ordered to.

[–] Cabrio 1 points 1 year ago

The only minority conservatives like is minority government.
