Rules (2024-08-30)
- This is an English-language community. Comments should be in English. Posts can link to non-English news sources when providing a full-text translation in the post description. Automated translations are fine, as long as they don't overly distort the content.
- No links to misinformation or commercial advertising. When you post outdated/historic articles, add the year of publication to the post title. Infographics must include a source and a year of creation; if possible, also provide a link to the source.
- Be kind to each other, and argue in good faith. Don't post direct insults nor disrespectful and condescending comments. Don't troll nor incite hatred. Don't look for novel argumentation strategies at Wikipedia's List of fallacies.
- No bigotry, sexism, racism, antisemitism, dehumanization of minorities, or glorification of National Socialism.
- Be the signal, not the noise: Strive to post insightful comments. Add "/s" when you're being sarcastic (and don't use it to break rule no. 3).
- If you link to paywalled information, please provide also a link to a freely available archived version. Alternatively, try to find a different source.
- Light-hearted content, memes, and posts about your European everyday belong in [email protected]. (They're cool, you should subscribe there too!)
- Don't evade bans. If we notice ban evasion, that will result in a permanent ban for all the accounts we can associate with you.
- No posts linking to speculative reporting about ongoing events with unclear backgrounds. Please wait at least 12 hours. (E.g., do not post breathless reporting on an ongoing terror attack.)
(This list may get expanded when necessary.)
We will use some leeway to decide whether to remove a comment.
If need be, there are also bans: 3 days for lighter offenses, 14 days for bigger offenses, and permanent bans for people who don't show any willingness to participate productively. If we think the ban reason is obvious, we may not specifically write to you.
If you want to protest a removal or ban, feel free to write privately to the mods: @[email protected], @[email protected], or @[email protected].
Iβd be upset if I paid all that money and they didnβt!
Tariffs incoming
God I wish I lived in Europe.
We have our own morons, but no one moron to rule them all and in darkness bind them.
I feel like putin is seeding them all around. europe, canada, australia, usa, obviously north korea for awhile now but then south korea. ugh.
Any attention is good attention for a narcissist. The more energy people spend hating on him, the more he enjoys it.
But he hates being made fun of. He wants people to be angry with him, because that shows him he has some form of power over them (withholding funding makes "the left" angry -> for him that's good). And he loves to see himself as smart and strong. But if you ridicule him....that hits him.
All I see is this mfs face on lemmy, even this meaningless shit is somehow important
Nah, I'd not want to eat something made to look like Trump, even made as something to hate on him. I don't want anything resembling or mentioning him close to any part of my body.
Put a little bit of chocolate in his mouth to represent the spewing shit
And needs a litrle more orange/red food colour.
To put that price tag into perspective: 25DKK (Dansk Kroner) are about US$3.50
Absolutely fair price, given that it looks quite hand-made and labour intensive. If you just want something sweet get a Kanelsnegle. Or better yet hop over the border into Schleswig-Holstein and get a FranzbrΓΆtchen. We also have better red grit.
And the baker earns a living wage
As someone that lives in sweden and has been to denmark many times, thats a steal in denmark. The prices there are insane. How much would one of these cost in the us?
That's so demeaning
That's an idiot sandwich made of nothing but idiots.
Just an idiot salad at that point.
Yeah sorry, it's hard to find pictures of Trump where he's not also surrounded by idiots.
Damn, those are detailed, and even with varying expressions.
Anyone know where exactly is this bakery?
Nice try, CIA.
I don't think CIA has that reach. I'm just currently in Denmark and was wondering if I can buy some.
Donβt think I could put that in my mouth.
Now, if it was a urinal cakeβ¦
I have used George w bush toilet paper before
Aww...they're so cute. I just want to eat em all up.
Can we do more of these for rich people? I wanna eat Musk too
Take that, freedom fries!
I'd like to buy one of those. Do they ship to the U.S.?
25β¬ ?!
25 kr. = 3,35Β β¬
Denmark uses kroner I think, which is similar in value to the norwegian and swedish krona at approximately 0.1 euro (don't know the exact exchange rate, but somewhere around there I would guess).
NOK not linked, 1 Euro: ~12 NOK
DKK linked to the Euro since 1999 at 1β¬ to ~7.5 DKK
SEK, not linked, introduction to Euro however mandatory though purposefully blocked: same exchange rate as Denmark
SOK? π You mean SEK, Swedish krona.
Yes, forgot to correct it
Sweden does SOK, but it's not their currency β€οΈ
You know, i think its actually a blessing to not understand danes. Another reason sweden and swedish is better.
SEK is much closer to NOK in exchange rate than DKK. Kinda insane when you see that that the number is also higher usually in denmark.
Sorry what do you mean to say? The DKK is linked to the Euro since 1999, there have not been any fluctuations since then. And these numbers have been looked up right before writing the comment. At that moment the SEK was exchanged at 7.49 to the Euro, the same as the DKK
Where did you look it up? Its pretty common to convert 10kr to one euro here(even though its more like 11-12 but thats just copium). Also all the sites i checked say the same. Its also a joke how the norwegian kr is almost the same value as the swedish one(friendly banter).
Geez, I must have been tired, you're right
Oh yeah right, I forgot
Denmark does not have the Euro.
