So, what is it about ultra-processed foods that causes bad health outcomes? The research doesn’t tell us but you know? Research shows they are bad. I haven’t seen any that clearly show what causal relationship makes them bad.

There’s no clear mechanism for ultra-processed foods being bad. We don’t know exactly why they are bad. There’s a good chance that it’s just over-eating that’s bad and ultra-processed foods make it really easy to over-eat.

RFK is a fucking nut. If anything he says makes sense, just wait, he’ll back it up with something stupid.

Baking soda can be used to brush teeth. There are brands of baking soda that have their own line of toothpastes that have baking soda as an ingredient.

Good to do if you’re really grinding them. Also, you can get free ones from the one guy on the anomaly pretty frequently if you ever need one.

And, who gives a fuck about Time Magazine these days? I’m surprised it still exists.

They were relevant 40 years ago but, since the Internet, they have lost 90% of their cred. They got into NFTs, for fuck’s sake.

We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

Personally, I think I would save these for Halloween or a kid’s birthday party. They’re cool and I kinda want some but I also feel like they’re not conducive to keeping the food down.

The CEO of Accuweather, Joel Myers, will love this. He’s been trying to completely privatize weather forecasting for years.

What is this guy? (lemmy.world)

I recently sold of a table saw that I wasn’t using mainly because I lacked room to store and use it.

If I want to do some DIY small building and remodeling projects, what’s a good alternative?

Example of projects I have in mind: cutting down parts of a kit cabinet that doesn’t fit in the space; building a small credenza; possibly cutting lumber for framing a shed.
