I have Linux dual booting on my machine. No it isn’t there yet. I’m tech savvy but still it has issues where I prefer to use windows.
I keep going back hoping it will work.
For example a Simple task that has an issue for me, in KDE I browse to watch videos on my network share. Double click to open but none of the video players can see the file. Works fine on gnome, but not on KDE. This isn’t something I should be dealing with in 2025.

I always wondered why trucks didn’t become diesel electric or have a Prius style drive train (with diesel engine). Would be a lot easier to drive.

I also have photoprism up and running well. Wanted to try immich but the install was overly complicated.
From the covfefe guy I wouldn’t be surprised if he misspelled himself.
I wouldn’t say skill issue, more of time issue. You only get a week to implement something. Quicker to use existing libraries than try to optimise yourself.
