[–] CharlesDarwin 19 points 2 months ago

Well, if a private citizen did this targeting the brown furriners, that'd probably be okay, too.

An elected official boasting of their inability to actually govern is the most Republican thing I can think of.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago

"Government doesn't help you! Re-elect me so I can keep making sure of that!" - every "small government" fascist

[–] [email protected] 47 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I searched for the billboards and just yikes.

Yeah you in can try to spin in whatever way you want, but it definitely comes off like America is full of rapists.

[–] CharlesDarwin 25 points 2 months ago

Well, apparently enough support rape to vote for donvict the rapist.

[–] [email protected] 40 points 2 months ago (4 children)

Wait ..... I thought these were the same guys that said that it was immigrants that were rapists .... are they admitting that the rapists were in Texas the whole time?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago

The billboards aren't saying Americans will rape them, but the smugglers smuggling people into the country, which does have a high incidence of happening.

[–] iceonfire1 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

The billboard says many women are raped by the ppl guiding the illegal border crossings.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 months ago

The rapists were the friends we lost along the way

[–] FlyingSquid 2 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I guess the rapists are going to rape the other rapists and we'll see who wins?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Whoever or whatever it is .... all I can think of is that Texas is a state full of rapists .. immigrant, state born, male, female, rich, poor, government, non-aligned, Christian, non-religious ... all of them rapists

[–] FlyingSquid 2 points 2 months ago

Everything's rapier in Texas?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Someone will come out on top.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

Or just come, I guess 🤷

[–] Eddbopkins 26 points 2 months ago (1 children)

a government official advertising rape to the less fortunate? these people saying such ludicrous things need to be put on a noose.

[–] GreenKnight23 12 points 2 months ago (1 children)

If we can't get our shit together enough to take the country back from these racist, unempathetic bigots, we really do deserve whatever comes next.

[–] CharlesDarwin 14 points 2 months ago (1 children)

If we are outvoted by imbeciles and bigots, how is that our fault, though?

[–] [email protected] 24 points 2 months ago

Because we now have more than adequate evidence that just voting on our own isn't enough. We need to be putting our energy into local organizing and canvassing (believe me, I have no idea how I'm going to make room for that in my life either), and doing everything we can to get everyone we know who ISN'T a racist, unempathetic bigot to vote.

DID NOT VOTE was the actual winner of both the 2016 and 2024 elections.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

What do you mean "back"? This country was founded by racist, unempathetic bigots.

[–] FlyingSquid 20 points 2 months ago

"They give potential illegal immigrants thinking of leaving their home country — and those already on the way — a realistic picture of what will happen to them on their journey or if they illegally cross into Texas," Abbott said.

A lot of them are leaving their home country, you absolute waste of oxygen, because they were going to die there if they didn't.

[–] Tikiporch 16 points 2 months ago

I think the signs are referring to the "coyotes" who guide Mexican immigrants across the border for a fee. Often they sexually assault their clients, estimated by nonprofits to be about 60%.

It doesn't make a lot of sense for Texas to place the signs, though, but it's provacative and theatrical which the GOP loves.

The qons are soft on both crime and terrorism, so it checks out.

[–] CharlesDarwin 1 points 2 months ago

Today's cons are chock full of nonsense, including qanon nonsense, so I shorten it up to qons.

[–] PapaStevesy 13 points 2 months ago

Go to Texas, get raped. Got it.

[–] Treczoks 9 points 2 months ago

Did he pay for those out of his own pocket, or did he waste tax payers money for this?

[–] Passerby6497 9 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Holy shit, I didn't expect them to have literally said that shit. I expect nothing of republicans or Texas, but I'm still baffled.

For those who want to see them....

🤮🤮Tex*s 🤮🤮

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 months ago

Stay classy, Greg Abbot.

[–] ATDA 9 points 2 months ago

A third of my mortgage is insurance because these dipshits let the state freeze and he waste money on this shit. Fucking ghoul

[–] randon31415 8 points 2 months ago

Writes in English.

Immigrants:" No habla ingles?"

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 months ago

Every time you think Greg Abbott can't be any more of a disgusting and gleefully cruel monster, the little piss-baby proves you wrong 🤬

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago

Wait but I thought it was the immigrants themselves that were nothing but rapists?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

He's right. You got to worry about the pigs, especially the Texas pigs, they're pretty dirty. Florida is kind of dirty too, and Arizona and California. In fact, all of the southern states have tons of cops who are dirty as hell and probably some of them would be up for that kind of horrible action.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I kind of want to buy an adjacent billboard "Doesn't matter, had sex."

[–] BrianTheeBiscuiteer 1 points 2 months ago

Or "Texas -- The rapist-friendly State".

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

Thanks, Texas! Good job, as always. ~~I hope your entire state burns to the ground~~
