This dude is so greedy he's claimed both Friday and Saturday for the boys.

Wallet. Phone. Keys...

Be as gay as you want, but you kick open the door to my house like that and you're gonna have some problems.

[–] [email protected] 55 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Don't worry, it's just a drawing of a door frame. It's not real.

[–] [email protected] 39 points 2 months ago

thank you, I freaked out for a second

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 months ago

Mostly because you have to destroy the frame to do that

Seriously, and wipe your goddam feet on the mat or take your shoes off.

The gay aunt is transition goals for me. Too bad I'm going to have to spend a lot of money to have a chance of growing back enough hair to make that hair style viable.

You will probably get some back on hrt.

[–] TotallynotJessica 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Not really. HRT can save follicles on the brink, but it can't revive them.

Sorry, I just prefer to temper expectations about hrt. Not only are there things it cannot do, there are things it might not do. While some people do see the maximum potential in different areas, your mileage will vary. It can Thanos snap away problems, but probably not all of them, and often only partially.

That said, for anyone with significant testosterone in their system who wants to avoid pattern baldness, start DHT blockers asap. Testosterone itself doesn't cause baldness, it causes it by converting into DHT. A ton of guys take it, and most don't have significant issues.

This means that trans women with higher levels of t can still see hair loss. If you're on a weaker anti-androgen like spironolactone and not injecting estrogen, you might want to supplement with a DHT blocker.

Hey, no worries! It just seemed like a funny response to post. I appreciate you going out of your way to educate.

I'm a bit late to the conversation, but I've heard dermarollers + rogaine/topical minoxidil can help! Both are over-the-counter. Might be worth talking to a dermatologist about.

Edit: also enby auntcle is kind of a transition goal for me too lol

I've been using minoxidil and finasteride on and off for some years (on and off roughly correlating to hopeful and hopeless periods of mental health).

I've been informed by some hair loss people that at this stage they don't think there's any point wasting money on PRP or LLLT or anything like that, but I did recently buy a derma roller anyway, since they're cheap and one can always hope for a miracle.

I think I'll try to stick with a "delulu is the solulu" outlook until I've at least been on full dose HRT for a year or so and then cut my losses.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Good luck! I've heard dermarollers are most effective with minoxidil but can have some effect on their own. Just be aware that it can take a while.

I swear I recognize the art style but I can't remember where. Sauce?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It looks like it's done in a comic book style. Reverse image searches show some Twitter and Tumblr posts indicating it's Kate Kane looking for Tim Drake (Batwoman and Robin from the Batman franchise), but I'm not sure if this is an actual page from the comic or just fanart.

I was thinking the same thing but can't figure out what I'm thinking of.

Edit. I think its Pathfinder 1 character artwork

Beauregard Lionett IRL

As a queer ant who cares about their neffew, you should sit down with them and have a thorough conversation to figure out if they read something on the internet and thought it was cool or if they're actually bi.

And if it's the latter you can help them navigate the difficult landscape of bisexuality.

But, no, ofc, be my guest, you go ensure that kid now feels entitled af while not knowing a fuckin damn thing about themselves. That will surely help them become a healthy well-adjusted adult unlike their aunt. Oh, wait.

Now let's watch 196 beat the living hell out of me. I, unfortunately, do believe in everything I just said. This is not a drill.

[–] TotallynotJessica 6 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

I only want to beat you because you said so. Don't "woe-is-me, I'm the victim" if you're gonna doubt someone's identity like that.

You think certified bisexuals don't also suffer because of this shit? You think our attraction doesn't ebb and flow over time, leading to pointless imposter syndrome because you were worried about keeping out "trenders" for some reason?

If they end up being wrong, acceptance is still the best strategy. Let them know they can always change their mind. Bi people may later identify as straight, gay people as bi, and vice versa.

They may not have been entirely wrong either; it's not like anyone knows how it works for certain. If you think anyone does, you don't understand the current state of science. You're just a "queer ant" trying to justify prejudice about people who are different 🙄
