While making I came across this "concept"

Gotta respect the effort they put into this shitpost

[–] [email protected] 35 points 11 months ago (1 children)

It absolutely terrifies me that someone thought of this concept

[–] [email protected] 29 points 11 months ago (2 children)

That's a Dahir Insaat concept. They frequently come up with some absolutely insane ideas, like the bed that can be triggered to drop into a "safety box" during an earthquake.

They have videos up on YouTube. They're a blast.

[–] Zron 17 points 11 months ago

So instead of “the design is very human” it’s “the design is very capitalist”

[–] quinkin 6 points 11 months ago

"safety box". That just sounds like burial without waiting for death.

[–] [email protected] 62 points 11 months ago

Meanwhile in the UK

[–] aeronmelon 60 points 11 months ago (5 children)

People in Chicago have been doing this since the 1970s.

Scene from The Blues Brothers where Jake and Elwood are being chased by two police cars through an indoor mall, all parties involved causing untold amounts of property damage.

Our Lady of Blessed Acceleration, don't fall me now!

[–] [email protected] 7 points 11 months ago

You told the penguin you'd go see her when you got out

[–] [email protected] 9 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Hey look - disco pants and haircuts

[–] [email protected] 8 points 11 months ago

This place has got everything!

[–] LifeInMultipleChoice 6 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

The new Oldsmobiles are in early this year

[–] [email protected] 6 points 11 months ago

Absolutely love that movie. Not only is it hilarious, but the car chase scenes are just epic

[–] FlyingSquid 4 points 11 months ago

Do you have a Miss Piggy?

[–] nUbee 4 points 11 months ago

"This place has got everything!"

[–] [email protected] 33 points 11 months ago (1 children)

QUICK, delete this before an executive with brainrot decides to pour hundreds of thousands of dollars into a motorized supermarket.

[–] AngryCommieKender 28 points 11 months ago (1 children)

They already have drive thru liquor stores. I haven't heard of a drive thru gun and ammo shop, but I'm sure Texas has them.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 11 months ago

I googled that and they do exist, and they are indeed in Texas

[–] [email protected] 24 points 11 months ago

You'll never reach the top shelf ranch in a truck that short.

[–] AeonFelis 4 points 11 months ago

Unless these jars are America-sized.

I agree. There should be Trump's face over an American flag painted on the side of that truck, and a pile of guns in the back. Otherwise you barely know it's 'murkkka

[–] [email protected] 3 points 11 months ago (3 children)

Well a truck like that is either uncommon or illegal in most parts of the world outside of USA

[–] n0clue 2 points 11 months ago

Illegal? I'm surprised I haven't seen an ad proclaiming that tbh.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 11 months ago

A truck like that would also be vandalized pretty quickly in many areas of the US.

[–] WeeSheep 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Well yeah, most parts don't have that kinda freedom. Freedom for children to die in schools. Freedom to have a lethal standoff whenever you want. Such freedom.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 11 months ago

Solidarity strikes are banned though, you can't have all the freedom.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 11 months ago

Nah, let's let that fat old fuck fall into obscurity

Without the smoke stack I'm used to seeing this looks almost restrained for an American truck

[–] Contramuffin 13 points 11 months ago

This post: over-the-top satire of Americans

The comments: oh god no don't give them any ideas

Yeah that sounds about right for America

[–] Meowie_Gamer 12 points 11 months ago

As an American myself, I can confirm this is how we go to the store.

[–] RIP_Cheems 12 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Don't worry, this idea is in the works

[–] SmoothIsFast 22 points 11 months ago (4 children)

In the works? It is well established.

[–] KrankyKong 7 points 11 months ago

I've seen a few of these drive up convenience stores pop up. They never seem to last.

[–] FlyingSquid 5 points 11 months ago (1 children)

That was the weirdest thing I learned while spending time in Ohio. Finding out that you could go to a place that looked like a car wash except it sold beer.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 11 months ago

Yeah and it's awesome

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

Tobaccy ain't no beverage.

[–] Thcdenton 1 points 11 months ago

Yeah we got one of those in Cali.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Not enough Ranch or BBQ sauce

[–] [email protected] 5 points 11 months ago

…but otherwise accurate

[–] rtxn 9 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

No guns? No stars and stripes paintjob? No opened cans of shitty Budweiser rip-off (extremely sarcastic quotes) "beer"? Dunno, seems fake

[–] NegativeLookBehind 6 points 11 months ago

Where’s muh bbq sauce and 24 pack of hot dogs

[–] AbsurdityAccelerator 5 points 11 months ago

That's actually a thing. https://brewthru.com/

[–] banichan 4 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Is the truck small or are the shelves huge?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 11 months ago

Americans going camping
