Ask Lemmy
A Fediverse community for open-ended, thought provoking questions
Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, and toxicity are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them
2) All posts must end with a '?'
This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either [email protected] or [email protected].
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email [email protected]. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
6) No US Politics.
Please don't post about current US Politics. If you need to do this, try [email protected] or [email protected]
Reminder: The terms of service apply here too.

You sound like you need some help. Like therapy help.
Based on the way you told the story and your responses to other peoples comments it seems like you might have some undiagnosed condition making you paranoid and aggressive at what seems like fairly normal neighbor behaviors.
Best of luck.
Agree. They also made a post about getting back and their neighbor for making noises at 5am (early, sure) about an hour ago.
Jesus. As long as it's not "noises until 5am", 5 is a perfectly fine time to start the day
Yeah, their world view is incredibly negative, and they harbor so much hate based on things that seem to happen purely in their mind. Sadly, they don't seem to truly engage with comments (other than criticizing the neighbor more), so I'm not sure we can do much.
It's the internet. Not much we can do. They will read the comments and do whatever it is they are gonna do. Nothing we can do to stop em.
Maybe you could just try being nice to him and have a normal conversation? If it pisses you off so much, surely it will piss him off too?
I wonder why your neighbor hates you.
The neighbors are CIA Agents trying to use MKULTRA on OP.
/s
bro I cannot believe he touched your fucking tea like that I mean who fucking picks things up for other people that is insane
MY TEAAAA
MY SACRED TEAAA!
YOU'VE ACTIVATED THE CURSE!
YOU'VE DOOMED THE UNIVERSE
😭
(I mean I get it tho. I have germaphobia, I get the struggle.)
It was already sitting on the stairs though?
🤔
(Do lemmings just never talk to people irl?)
you could try and be the better human, assume the other person meant no ill will and just move on with your life.
unless youre just not capable of that.
i think it was the doctor who said "try and be nice, but never fail to be kind"
What room is there to be the better person here? Other guy sounds like he was 100% fine and decent
good point, in this case it would be 'better than yourself' cuz theyre acting like a child (or troll)
You could do with being a little less disagreeable and negative in all your posts and comments.
Asking do you rent or own is just normal conversation. Nothing big there.
The part about the tea bag and your saying don’t touch it, then him saying I know it’s yours. This tells me he didn’t hear you say yes.
Why would asking a person how old they are annoy anyone? I guess women might not like it but a guy is basically never going to get annoyed by it.
Same for how much a guy makes.
Try guessing his weight and height, but shorter and heavier than you think he really is.
EDIT: I'm now sorry I participated in this. OP, I have a loved one who sounds a lot like you. His psychiatrist saved his life. I highly recommend you find one to talk to. It will help you. I promise.
