And the boogaloo part

The boogaloo movement, whose adherents are often referred to as boogaloo boys or boogaloo bois,[3] is a loosely organized far-right anti-government extremist movement in the United States.[4][5][6][7][8][9] It has also been described as a militia.[10][11][12] Adherents say they are preparing for, or seek to incite, a second American Civil War or second American Revolution which they call "the boogaloo" or "the boog".[13][14]

I remember when they celebrated January 6th, only to claim it was a false flag once it became clear how much it failed.

They're equal parts scary and pathetic, incompetent while still earnestly pushing fascism.

Unfortunately for us, they have the same vote we do, so it doesn't matter if many of them are dead weight otherwise.

They will kill minorities and laugh while doing it.

Don't let their comically stupid reasoning and detachment from reality fool you.

They're dangerous and cannot be taken lightly.

Unfortunately for us, they have the same vote we do

gosh i wish that were more true. given the equal representation of states in the senate, and the subsequent higher weighting of low-population states in the electoral college, the vote of a californian is worth a lot less than the vote of a wyomingian. and someone in washington D.C. has even less say. it's a pretty fucked up pseudo-democracy, tbh.

Fair point. It was predictable that things would end up that way given the system's design. Equally powerful votes is the best practically, but even that's imperfect. Elections can be life or death for some, but not matter as much for others. American elections matter more for people in other countries than for many American citizens. That's the inequality I was talking about, but you're correct. It isn't the only one.

the last image seemingly had an anti vaxx account.

All the screenshots are of crazies. I think in that one, the people who posted the polls were Jewish right wingers and didn't expect their fans to be Nazis. They accidentally proved the point they tried to disprove. Not 100% sure tho

Thanks. From my perspective, commonly Chinese numberplate have 8s in them being lucky. And being Australian I thought that numberplate read BODG as in bodgy meaning of poor quality.

Anyway, depressing that the numberplate was not fun or positive at all.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 week ago

I had the same initial reading, but upon a second closer look it's two O's so definitely depressing and not fun at all. :(

[–] BreadOven 8 points 1 week ago

I knew the 88 thing, not the boog though. Thanks for the knowledge.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

I don’t know how I missed BOOG as boogaloo boy considering there are some active boogs in my area. Granted, I usually spot them based on apparel around political events and protests.

Good catch.

[–] Etterra 4 points 1 week ago

Thanks, I was confused af what it had to do with anything. I'll add it to the red flag list in my brain.

You should report them to whoever issues license plates there. They take this stuff seriously.

[–] [email protected] 33 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Or key the car, if you're out of sight.

[–] Phegan 45 points 1 week ago (2 children)

They shouldn't do anything like that, or slash their tires, or put a brick through their windshield.

Potato in the exhaust is a classic.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I'd rather eat the potato, though.

Slap some bologna on to it.

Someone put a piece of American cheese on my exes car once. I thought it might be because of the pagan symbols on it. Took like five minutes to scrape and wipe it off, mostly because it slightly melted despite the low temperatures.

I don’t see a specific place to report an offensive plate, but I did send an email to the Indiana BMV. They review personalized plates and reject some, so this must have slipped past their radar.

Does that car still have a catalytic converter?

[–] abbotsbury 44 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It's from Indiana, so honestly 50/50 either way.

i'm sure it's just a 36 year old named john boogaart

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

My nickname among some old friends is actually "The Boog". Finding out these assholes have corrupted it angers me so much.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

As a Gavin who only had singers and comedians to represent the name, the existence of that proud boy asshole definitely gave me similar feelings.

Got any broken spark plugs?

[–] Yawweee877h444 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Spark plugs (broken ceramic shards) shatter glass easily. Do with this information what you must

[–] BreadOven 2 points 1 week ago

Thanks. Does it work for front windshields because they're laminated, and not tempered?

[–] Thcdenton 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Or hes a 36 year old big ol dumb guy

[–] abbotsbury 8 points 1 week ago (7 children)

A random 88 somewhere? Sure, maybe. But "boog88" is pretty on the nose.

[–] Thcdenton 4 points 1 week ago

Ooohhh I read it as bodg 🙃
