… Donald Trump posted on his social media platform in all caps that "I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE CHARGES ARE IN THIS RIGGED CASE."

"I AM ENTITLED TO SPECIFICITY JUST LIKE ANYONE ELSE," he wrote.

Maybe you should have stayed awake instead of farting yourself to sleep every day.

The post comes after Trump watched Judge Merchan spend over an hour instructing the jury on the law and specific charges in the case…

😙🤌

They should ask him what he thinks he’s on trial for—he might confess to something that hasn’t even been uncovered yet.

[–] [email protected] 30 points 5 months ago

That only works if the person being questioned has a consience. Drumpf would most likely answer "because I'm supposed to be the president, the election was rigged and they kicked me out, now I'm on trial to keep me from going back"

[–] tsonfeir 19 points 5 months ago

“Ask your lawyer”

I don’t even have a lawyer that can beat these charges. I am entitled to a lawyer who can beat these charges.

Honest question. How did we get here? How are we discussing the very real world situation where an elderly sex offender who probably won't see a jail, (but absolutely would if he had been just some nobody) is running for president, again........

Against another elderly man, whom everybody seems to dislike but everybody is going to vote for again because the other guy is even worse.

Both candidates very well could die in the next 4 years, and the stress of the job dramatically increases those odds.

Biden is older at 81, while trump is 77 (according to google), but Biden is much more physically healthy, whereas if Weeble-Wobbles wanted to make a trump liscensed Weeble-Wobble they wouldn't need to make a new body shape for them. Just use the existing shape.

How did we get here? How did we get to the point where everything sucks, everybody knows it sucks, but we're just supposed to along with it......and we do!

So now we get to watch as a clearly mentally incomplete elderly man falls asleep, and farts in the court room. I'm unclear if its illegal to do that, but you have to imagine whomever the judge was had to be offended at the very least. With anyone else, I'd say it's a bad idea to piss off the judge of your case. In this case though, I'm not sure it matters. He doesn't face responsibility for anything. He doesn't care. This is all a mockery to him.

HOW DID WE GET HERE????

Heavy oppression of the poor through underfunded education and social systems, coupled with propagandist media preying on their fear of the unfamiliar while blaming their oppression on the Democrats’ desire to help everyone but them. Like it or not, many of them are the victims, not the problem.

If it makes you feel better the UKs only been in election season for a week and we've already seen 2 different attempts at election interferance by the current ruling party.

Mother Teresa was a super fucked up individual, though. I'm not sure she's really suitable for use as a benchmark.

[–] ours 99 points 5 months ago (2 children)

She rose to fame on the suffering of others. Trump and her have more in common than most would think.

[–] dual_sport_dork 70 points 5 months ago (1 children)

She also took in who-knows-how-much in donations to charity claiming they would be used to help the stick and the poor, but instead just gave that money directly to the Vatican who proceeded to do fuck all to the benefit of anybody with it except themselves.

[–] ours 39 points 5 months ago

Oh but that sweet donation gave her a nice shiny sainthood post mortem.

Too bad I don't believe in hell so I could wish she would roast there. Instead the Church's PR made her name synonymous with selflessly caring for the poor.

It’s actually a pretty good analogy.

She was a huge hypocrite for telling suffering patients that pain brought them closer to god, while withholding pain medication and anesthetics that she then eagerly accepted when she took ill.

Trump is going to drain the swamp of criminals in the White House that are oppressing the American people.

Nuns in her order were forbidden from forming friendships with each other, and were transfered and punished if they showed warmth or spent time with each other.

This was for the obvious reason - having friends is the first step on the slippery slope to being gay.

Isolation and alienation are hallmarks of a controlling cult.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 5 months ago

I am also here for the Teresa truth.

[–] [email protected] 99 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Then Mother Theresa shouldn't have falsified business records

[–] dogsnest 30 points 5 months ago (4 children)

Would she still be allowed to run for Mother?

Ahhhhh, I see what you did there!

[–] [email protected] 8 points 5 months ago

Not with the anti-trans legislation the regressives are pushing through

[–] DreamAccountant 7 points 5 months ago

No. She's disqualified for hurting people to bring them closer to god. She's a religious terrorist cunt.

I sure hope she couldn't. Mother Theresa was a fucking monster that literally kept her patients willfully in pain because she believed the pain kept them closer to her deity.

Giving her a pass for fucking a porn star and using campaign funds to pay her off would be even more insane than giving a racist rapist a pass.

[–] [email protected] 45 points 5 months ago

Mother Teresa was a horrible, self-serving person not entirely unlike Trump.

[–] [email protected] 42 points 5 months ago

"We'll see how we do," Trump said as the jury began its deliberations. "It's a very disgraceful situation."

You are correct, but not for the reason you think.

[–] [email protected] 38 points 5 months ago (2 children)

What I hear: "The evidence before the court is incontrovertible, I clearly committed the crimes alleged. "

[–] [email protected] 11 points 5 months ago

The evidence before the court is

Incontrovertible, there's no need for the jury to retire

In all my years of judging I have never heard before

Of someone more deserving of the full penalty of law

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) (2 children)

In all his years of criminal he has never heard before, a person so deserving the full penalty of law.

Turns out when your main business is crime and you commit dozens of obvious crimes in public and you leave plenty of evidence of your crimes and you piss off the people you asked to cover up your crimes, you may eventually have a hard time proving you didn't commit crimes.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 5 months ago

My favorite part was when he hired a criminal to commit crimes to cover up his own crimes, and then accused said criminal of being a criminal and claimed you therefore can't trust said criminal as a witness to his own crimes.

[–] [email protected] 27 points 5 months ago

Huh. This makes sense...

He's appealing to the kind of people that think that someone who is a good person shouldn't be found guilty of a crime.

Only bad people need to be punished for their crimes.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 5 months ago (4 children)

This is actually pretty clever. If he's found guilty then it's rigged since even Mother Teresa would have been found guilty. If he's found not guilty though, then he's even better than Mother Teresa, since he beat a rap that would have taken her down or whatever.

[–] krashmo 51 points 5 months ago (5 children)

He's not clever. He's a gigantic fucking moron. Don't give him more credit than he's due.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 5 months ago

I don't know anything about Trumps childhood, but it feels like he was raised by fairly cold, taciturn, sociopaths. I wonder if his whole childhood was just a masterclass in tantrums and getting a reaction out of people. Would explain a lot about his stengths and weaknesses.

My favorite Trump story.

He had a golden opportunity to get in good with the real Manhattan elites, and he ended up making himself a pariah through his own greed, stupidity, and arrogance.

Dude…This is the most Trump thing I’ve ever read.

Trump agreed to donate (the sculptures) to the Met as long as the costs and the ability to physically remove the Art Deco artifacts were not unreasonably expensive.

Trump surprised New York’s art community on June 5, 1980 when a demolition crew jackhammered the sculptures off of the building. In addition, the intricate grillwork was removed. The destruction drew a public outcry. The Met received no advance notice.

Trump initially avoided any comment about the Bonwit Teller artwork. But John Baron, a spokesperson with the Trump Organization, contacted the New York Daily News to discuss the situation. Baron informed the Daily News that “the merit of the stones was not great enough to justify the effort to save them.” Baron stated that the removal process could have set back Trump Tower’s construction timeline by two weeks. Baron also told the New York Times that he had no idea what happened to the ornate grillwork.

Long after Baron’s initial contact, the New York Daily News learned that John Baron was actually Donald Trump, in disguise.

Board and staff members at the Met were furious and confused about Baron’s claims that the sculptures lacked merit. “Can you imagine the Met accepting them if they were not of artistic merit?” asked Ashton Hawkins, a Met board member.

The day after “Baron” called the Daily News, Donald Trump released a statement, claiming that the sculptures had to be reduced to stones. “My biggest concern was the safety of people on the street below…people could have been killed. To me, it would not have been worth that kind of risk.”

Though Trump claimed that the removal of the sculptures would have cost his organization approximately $500,000, an initial estimate, made public, amounted to a $32,000 expense.

He’s a conman. A grifter. This is how they talk.

[–] someguy3 7 points 5 months ago

This is what he does with everything. He set up Afghanistan pullout timing it at the end of his term. Success? It was all him. Failure? It was all Biden.

If I have to hear one more thought Donald Trump has about this case.

I have blue balls for justice starting from 4 years ago. And nothing but Trump commentary (arguable the least horny thing on this planet) to keep me occupied.

And I am about to pay a porn star hush money to beat me in a Trump outfit if I don't start seeing some justice.

[–] grue 16 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

I have blue balls for justice starting from 4 years ago.

It could be worse; you could've had them from 7 years ago when he was inaugurated and started violating the Emoluments Clause. Trump's done so many crimes we don't even pay attention to half of 'em!

[–] SulaymanF 9 points 5 months ago (1 children)

He’s trying to set expectations for his followers.

Like how he’s insisting that Biden is some insane genius at debating, so when Trump is scored as losing debates by pundits it won’t sting as much.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 5 months ago

The enemy is both weak and strong

[–] [email protected] 7 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Mother Theresa wouldn't be facing these charges... and if she was, there wouldn't be mountains of evidence clearly pointing at her guilt.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago (4 children)

I mean, she might... She was a very immoral person who lived under an immense amount of false morality.

Does Trump think that Pence's wife's name is Teresa?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago

Not sure where the surprise is coming from. He's been saying stupid shit for a long time

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)

This country's fucked justice system will never convict that piece of shit.
