Brought to you by the party of small government*

*Some restrictions apply

Also:

“Thanks to the leadership of Gov. Ron DeSantis, Florida continues to be the freest state in the nation.”

What in the actual fuck? How does banning things = freedom?

[–] elliot_crane 40 points 1 month ago

No, no, you got it all wrong. It’s freedom for bigots to not have “the gay agenda” forcibly foisted upon them. Don’t you see how it could be offensive to and even discriminatory against christofascists to be reminded that non-straight people exist and are human beings too? Idk dude it sounds to me like you just hate small government conservative values ™️ and freedom.

(/s if it wasn’t obvious)

Doublespeak.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 month ago

Wtf, do I have to spell it out? It’s just like how teachers can go to jail for mentioning their same-sex partner. If that doesn’t spell freedumb, I don’t know how else to explain it to you. And tracking pregnancies? How could you get any freer?!

How does banning things = freedom?

That's the official Republican definition of freedom now.

Just like how "Patriots" = "Racist white Boomers".

Or how "First Amendment" = "Please let me say the n-word".

[–] brygphilomena 3 points 1 month ago

They've mistakenly taken it to mean "freedom from" instead of "freedom to".

[–] xc2215x 1 points 1 month ago

To Ron, homosexuality is not freedom.

I no longer have the energy for additional sarcastic remarks regarding this vacuous tool's culture-war-pageantry.

Me to every conservative family member I've kicked out of my life since 2019.

[–] moistclump 3 points 1 month ago

2015 was the start for me

[–] FordBeeblebrox 1 points 1 month ago

Keeping up the ridicule of their bullshit is a Sisyphean effort.

[–] taiyang 31 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Oh no, they're banning the visible spectrum! Certainly dark days ahead for Florida.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 month ago

No, they're just against segregation of the colours, you see.

It's replaced with harmonious all white light.

We can't light up a bridge, the political climate is just too rough.

I'm not sure how true your statement about the flag is. I'm pretty liberal and fly it every day.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Why? Genuinely curious since the whole lovethe flag thing was just propaganda for the military.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I said “many liberals” not “all liberals.”

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Fuck that. We served, that flag isn't theirs.

Republicans are NOT Snowflakes but I SWEAR TO JESUS H CHRIST IF I SEE A RAINBOW ON A BRIDGE I'M GOING TO SHOOT UP A SCHOOL WITH MY GOD GIVEN RIGHTS OF CHILD MURDER! PRO LIFE! PROTECT THE KIDS! MORE PRIESTS IN SCHOOLS!

[–] Furbag 16 points 1 month ago (1 children)

"Well boys, we did it. Homosexuality is no more."

  • Florida Republicans, probably.
[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

God hates rainbows more than childhood leukemia

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 month ago

Well, let's light 'em bridges up in glorious RGB rainbows anyway, just under the pretense of "PC Gaming Month", concurrent with a Steam sale of coincidentally LGBT+ themed games🙃

...And thus a truly cosmic amount of salt shall be generated by both conservatives and g4m3r manchildren🤪

[–] billiam0202 14 points 1 month ago

Well duh- you can't have a return to the dark ages if you have electric lights, now can you?

[–] ShittyBeatlesFCPres 13 points 1 month ago

In fairness, no Florida elected official is proud of who, or more often what, they’re sexually attracted to.

[–] chemical_cutthroat 11 points 1 month ago

I'm waiting for desaturation glasses so these fucking whiners can't even see colors just in case they might line up in something close to ROYGBIV.

[–] Burn_The_Right 10 points 1 month ago

Oh, don't worry. The conservatives still plan to decorate the bridges by hanging gay people from them.

A plague of conservatism cannot cure itself. The disease must be aggressively fought to be destroyed.

[–] dezmd 4 points 1 month ago

Fuck em, let's do it anyway.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Maybe they should do it just for the sake of not getting ran into by boats. Seems to be a lot of that going around this year...

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

has it stopped being profitable already?
