I’m not interested unless I see “First transmitted via telegraph by the US Government, 1883.” in the about section of the game store.

Me and my RuneScape account are plenty offended, thank you
No no, he said 10 years, not 20
Growing horns by farting on citizens in Fable
Don't forget to find one of those citizens that are temporarily immortal to punch and kick their shit for maximum physical experience. I loved doing that on that first city, after finishing the quest where the dude convinces you to change your hair and beard "for his daughter".
Does dwarf fortress count as a modern game or a 20 year old game?
Yes.
Both and a game 20 years from the future when Toady finally finishes it.
I fail to see the issue
Exactly, why is that a ... negative?
I would say this is all about Skyrim, but I do think that game still is very popular today
My top two games played this year are over 10 years old each.
My 3rd most played is Baldur's Gate 3, weighing in at 250 hours, so I've got that going for me.
Mine were 7 and 14, respectively, and then I had Diablo 4, so I understand.
Steam sales, yo!
*while ignoring any real-life counterpart of any of those. (except goals, kinda, since your goal at the moment is doing those things in that game).
The real-life mission system is totally broken. I've accomplished tons of goals and the rewards usually don't even trigger, at all.
Plus the classes are ridiculously unbalanced! "Billionaire" and "loud religious idiot" need to be nerfed yesterday! Don't even get me started on how game breaking playing a hybrid of those is!
Billionaire ain't a class, it's just an unpatched exploit. It's really easy to pull if you already have at least some millions lying around.
My goal is to ignore irl goals for in-game ones 😤
Gran Turismo 4 is 20 years old..
And DOOM hit 25 this year.
Edit: I'm stupid at math, it's actually 30 lol
Half Life is 25; I've been slowly working my way through the anniversary edition
It turned 30 this December! So much rip & tear !
HUGE GUTS
Why does it matter how old the game is?
I started playing Project Zomboid this year. Its about a decade old but they're still adding features.
And I'm just over here constructing additional pylons.
This is me saving other civilians in This War of Mine since I can't save anyone in a real war zone.
Ahh that sweet sweet dopamine. If you don’t have any handy, gamebought is fine.
idk I still think 100%ing donkey kong 64 is still one of the greatest accomplishments humanity has won
There's only a few games I played before release, RimWorld and Stone Shard.
Currently I'm playing Beneath a Steel Sky from 1994, and Fallout 4 is next.
And I will celebrate with you each time you recover the Amulet of Yendor
Project zomboid is a game released aprox 11 years ago and is still in early access does this count still waiting on the devs to release build 42
Haha how weird and quirky! A game from 2013? No one's ever played those before! You must be so special and unique! But not as special and unique as me, playing games from the 80s! Oh wait. There's nothing special and unique about any of this.
Oof. You made a conscious decision to be like this.
I am totally going to borrow this reply, though usually it's not true; the choice to be cruel and bitter typically a subconscious need to lash out.
I find it curious to see people having this sort of insecurity (in some cases, some sort of aversion) with playing older games, while they don't have it with other media, like books or music.
Exactly! You never see someone saying "haha, watching a 50 year old film, oh crazy me!" when watching Star Wars.
I was ten when it came out in the theaters. It was glorious.
I'm so fucking old.
me @ sims 2
also me @ kings quest 5
