In response to the devastating vehicle-ramming attack in New Orleans on New Year's Day, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) insinuated that the Biden administration's border policy was to blame — all of which appear now to have jumped the gun.

Time to close the boarder with Texas.

[–] Maggoty 15 points 2 days ago

Let's put the blame where it belongs. Dude does a dime in the Army and he's fine. Then he goes to work in IT for Deloitte and ... This.

Build a wall with consulting companies on the other side.

Glad someone is speaking up about the wide open border between Texas and Louisiana. We've gotta shut that shit down.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Maybe Texan secession would be good for everyone after all

[–] [email protected] 29 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I've been saying it for years. Get rid of the Rated One Star state.

Gotta evacuate Robert Evans (podcaster and author of Behind the Bastards and After The Revolution) and all the good people in Austin first, though..

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago

I knew I liked you for a reason.

Save the Honorable Reverend Robert Evans!

I thought he lived in Oregon now?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago

All the Good, But Very Specifically Libertarian Texans have been moving to Oregon for a while now-…

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 days ago

The issue is that Texas state politicians absolutely love to rattle the secession sabor but they all know where their bread is buttered.

They would never actually do it. Their voters don't know that.

[–] affiliate 10 points 2 days ago

they should build a giant dome around texas. nobody goes in or out.

The truth of falsehoods isn't the issue, that it's false is of no consequence to the politics.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Everything is the border. Attacks on other innocent human beings? Immigrants. High food prices? Immigrants. Unemployment? Immigrants.

It couldn't possibly be any kind of political policy they actively oppose, socioeconomic issues, no, nothing like that.

Just let them be racist and all your problems will be solved, because that's how we really solve issues in our society.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 days ago

Immigants, I knew it was them! Even when it was complex political and economic issues, I knew it was them.

[–] normalexit 7 points 2 days ago

It's so obvious what they are doing; just drumming up some support for deportations. It won't fix anything, but it'll keep people good and distracted for a moment while they try to support their real base: the ultra rich.

Those plastic surgery freaks at Mar a lago will be trying to smile as the poors fight it out over this one.

US born Texan who was an army veteran = migrant...

[–] T00l_shed 37 points 3 days ago (2 children)

I mean he was brown, and possibly Muslim, so as far as mtg is able to recognize that means migrant if her feeble mind

[–] [email protected] 15 points 2 days ago (1 children)

And from the way Trump is talking, it will mean migrant when comes time to choose who to deport as well

[–] T00l_shed 10 points 2 days ago

100% being brown will be enough to kick you out, even if you were born there.

[–] Snapz 4 points 1 day ago

all of which appear now to have jumped the gun.

You hear that... Librulz wants to jump your guns now!!!

Let's lay outcome facts at this-time frame:

Shamsud-Din Jabbar was identified as a U.S. citizen born in Texas.

Jabbar had served in the U.S. Army and had a degree from Georgia State University.

While Jabbar had a criminal record related to traffic offenses and theft, there is no indication that these offenses pertained to immigration violations or that they affected his citizenship status.

The FBI’s investigation into Jabbar’s potential associations with terroristic organizations does not imply anything about his immigration status but rather focuses on his actions during the attack.

So, given these parameters why is this a Biden border issue?

[–] T00l_shed 30 points 3 days ago

Because he is the marked enemy. They need a boogeyman.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 days ago

They have one tool: blame outsiders. It doesn't matter if no outsiders are involved. If they let up on blaming outsiders for a second, their supporters might notice their lives aren't actually getting better.

[–] Maggoty 2 points 2 days ago

Because they know they can just lie and people will believe it.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 days ago

Illogical reasoning, in my propaganda? More likely than you might think!

None of her brain-dead constituents care about facts.

The actual left (fuck off neolibs no one likes you) should take to calling Texans migrants too...

We can cite Trump and Green.

[–] Snapz 3 points 1 day ago

Yeah, and obviously we can all now agree it was the GOD DAMNED BORDER that shit in my pants, and we'll all just move on from the subject now, knowing fully that we all agree it was them, the border I mean. Fucking menace!

I was wondering what the hell Magic The Gathering has to do with US politics.......

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Margerie is like a blue player who keeps canceling her own spells.

[–] Chekhovs_Gun 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I've never played Magic and I have no idea what this means, but it's the perfect analogy.

[–] dance_ninja 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The game has different colors -- different sources of power for your deck. Blue cards are themed around trickery and messing with your opponents plans. Cancelling spells is basically a "no" to whatever your opponent is trying to play.

[–] BigDiction 3 points 2 days ago

White is themed around order and balance. Black is power at any cost. Red is impulsive and energetic. Green is harmonious with the natural world.

Blue interacts with the fundamental fabric of reality and is absolute bullshit.

[–] TheLowestStone 3 points 2 days ago

More like a blue player with no islands in her deck.

This imbecile needs to fulfil her face's destiny and front a Metallica cover band. Out here lookin' like her mother was a surrogate for an albino orangutan.
