Remember, non-voters: this is what you chose.

But Kamala never promised me a pony. How was I supposed to vote for her?

Well they are all the same…

Trump: First US President to try to invade Canada (since Alan Alda).

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago

I fully agree - though my Canadian coworkers weren't even offered a vote!

Following the dinner between Trump and Trudeau, where Trump reportedly made a joke about Canadian statehood, Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc told reporters that they knew “the conversation was going to be lighthearted” and that “the president was teasing us.”

Trump doesn't tell jokes, he's not a comedian.

Trudeau and Freeland handled the last term better than anyone around here expected.

Definitely helped having a PM with experience working with children.

Trump doesn't tell jokes, he's not a comedian.

He is more of a clown.

Also, anyone who's actually been involved in international politics, LIKE TRUMP DID FOR FOUR YEARS, should know that one does not "joke" in international politics. One assumes that the words coming out of one's mouth will be taken at face value, no matter how many "it was a joke" retractions and posts and apologies you make.

We've been here before people. 2016-2020. For your mental health, zone out of anything he says. Only what he does matters.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 day ago

Yeah, I am not reading this shit again. I will not reward the complicit media with clicks and attention for their part in getting him re-elected.

America blink twice if you need us to liberate you

[–] Konn 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Damn, I've lost count of how often they were blinking

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago

You need to convert from blinks per square feet to metric first.

We Europeans want to invade and establish a democracy...

Is next Saturday fine?

[–] AllYourSmurf 2 points 1 day ago

I’m not doing anything I can’t put off. Come on over. I’ll make iced tea and burgers. Who’s bringing the sides?

[–] werefreeatlast 6 points 1 day ago

Lol! What do you mean Saddam Hussein wasn't Mexican? He and his buddy Assad and the guy who we dropped in the ocean in the ebd.

[–] [email protected] 49 points 1 day ago (6 children)

Is this a threat? Does this indicate imminent invasion of Canada soon after Trump resumes power? Is this how he means to deal with border issues, by erasing borders with Canada? What about Mexico? /s

Canada is America's Ukraine. Giant land full of natural resources and no nuclear weapons.

They can fertilise our maple stands.

I... I'm not sure if that's a euphemism or not

Not sure. But if Canada wants to invade...I'd be A-okay with that, eh.

[–] alexc 18 points 1 day ago

I suspect about 40% of the population would approve. Our rural population is very similarly aligned with rural Americans, which is why they’re all rooting that that vapid, low impact Trump-alike Polievre who is running essentially unopposed right now. I can see him rolling over if Trump and his good squad came a-knocking.

It’s also possible that Trump watched the first twenty minutes of the movie Canadian Bacon and thought it was his daily brief.

[–] capt_wolf 14 points 1 day ago

He's already floating invasion of Mexico... No /s

It wouldn't surprise me if he also tried Canada.

This is Russia targeting the core alliances of the US.

It’s the same trivial belittling as making RFK Jr be photographed eating a Big Mac.

[–] Tarquinn2049 22 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

And in that other scene he made The Deep eat an octopus he was friends with.

Edit: Err, maybe I have him confused with another guy.

Edit 2: It's hard to tell if it was a prediction, or if Trump watched the show and got ideas.
