A judge paid me cash to paint their courtroom gray

This sounds like a song lyric I may have to steal

[–] gothic_lemons 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Don't steal, I give it freely

Nice try FBI. You aren't fooling me.

In legal grey areas intent is often what sets apart whether something's a crime or not. So you admitting knowing it's kinda illegal might be tipping point. In short, the original comment is right: nice try, FBI.

I'm in South Africa: purchasing cannabis products on the clearnet. The law is, you're allowed to have cannabis on your own property, up to like 1.2kg or something few people can reasonably accumulate. You can grow 4 plants.

You can provide cannabis as a gift without "remuneration". i.e. you can't buy or sell it

Meaning, you join a "social club" where your spontaneous membership fees coincidentally directly correlate to the THC metabolite concentration in your urine. This is the legal grey area.

But the cops here are still stupid fucking cops. Got a bag of 4g Jack Herer in a Ziploc bag with beautiful artwork on it on the way home from the dispensary?

SIR YOU ARE UNDER ARREST FOR THE DEALING OF DRUGS. You either pay a stupid bribe or they throw you in jail for a night or a weekend until a lawyer can come bail you out and the case never goes to trial.

They did not do enough police reform after the official end of apartheid.

1.2kg of cannabis would be like a lifetime supply for me. That's a cumbersome amount of pot.

When I was 11 my dad allowed me to drive. It was a quiet road down a forested mountain at night, and I learned two things:

My dad trusted me enough to drive down this mountain road at night, and driving a car is surprisingly easy

Less of a grey area and just seems illegal

Your comment reminded me of my own story where i was at the bar with my dad. I wasnt drinking he just stopped at the bar after picking me up from somewhere. I was maybe 14 or so and had to drive him home. Not sure what would happen if i got pulled over at the time but I knew how to drive that young so i wasnt a complete danger.

Once I had a brief interaction with some BLM officials while I was tripping balls. They were only concerned about my safety though, and didn’t care that I was on drugs.

Bureau of Land Management most likely. Land you can camp on for free, OP was probably in a van, bus, or RV.

That makes more sense than what I thought initially

What is a Black Lives Matter Official?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Lol, I was like: what, Black Lives Matter is anti-drug??

[–] steeznson 3 points 1 week ago

Psychedelics are exclusionary by their very nature because only those with immense privilege will have the best trips /s

Can't tell, because I am very good at forgetting such things.
