From the Atlanta Daily World:

Former president and current presidential candidate who attempted to disrupt the election process in Georgia following his 2020 loss in the state has already filed a lawsuit contesting the state’s early voting process. Campaign organizers and Republican supporters filed a 21-page lawsuit in Savannah, arguing that county offices illegally collected early voting ballots over the … Continued

I can't wait until this motherfucker is gone...

[–] Gingerlegs 51 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Same, I’m so fucking sick of seeing his dumb, fat orange face on the news every night.

[–] CitizenKong 6 points 1 week ago

His death will almost cancel out that of Robin Williams.

Penn and now Georgia. Before election day.
It's going to be an aggravating week.

This trashhat needs to be gone already.

I'm pretty sure it's all part of the plan. They want to drag it out past the date that results need to be certified in as many states as they can so they can try to force the vote to go to the house of representatives where each state gets one vote and with 26 Republican controlled states that means they get to install Trump as president...

Some have speculated that's what Trump was referring to as "his little secret with speaker Johnson" :/

[–] [email protected] 29 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

That's serious resistance worthy, in my opiniom. It's a straight facist manouver to stretch the law and good faith to install yourself. You have to fight facism.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 week ago

Definitely possible. They've even said said that last time they didn't have a plan. Meaning they do this time.

[–] chakan2 15 points 1 week ago (2 children)

It's going to be aggravation into next year. Maybe longer if the rednecks really do start shooting.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Please dont associate us with the yuppie whitetrash, reminder a lot of the folks at Jan 6 were suburban petite bourgeois chucklefucks. Most right wing Rednecks have enough sense to stay the fuck away from that type of shit, mind you they will do dumbfuck guerrilla warfare roleplay but they usually get bored after a week.

[–] chakan2 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yea, I dunno. There's the salt of the earth guys that are both super friendly despite being conservative, then there are the raging asshole type.

I don't know how to distinguish between the two at a distance if I can't see how covered in Trump shit the owners truck is.

Generally speaking ive found that a good probing question is to ask them about their opinion on tech. Generally speaking conservative but not an asshole dont care one way or another, conservative asshole will start verbally blowing Musk and/or techbros, and progressives/uncaring will go on a psychotic rant about how much they hate modern tech trends and how they want to kill Musk for being stupid. Mind you this largely only applies to Rednecks proper IE not just rural being called redneck, usually American Scots Irish folks are Redneck or a generation away from becoming ones.

Interestingly what a chuckle fuck is exactly what I thought when I read this article.

One of my older siblings favorite turns of speech.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I felt like changing it up, use profligate and piss weasel a bit too much.

[–] TheLowestStone 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I'm going to go ahead and put piss weasel in my pocket for later.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

If ya want another ive got shot gibbon as well.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

Piss weasal is great lol

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

Eh, we'll see.

[–] LovableSidekick 35 points 1 week ago

The lawsuits are just props, along with declaring victory early in the evening, to make his whole stolen election story more convincing to his flock, who he expects to fight and die for him.

[–] DirkMcCallahan 24 points 1 week ago

Because of course he has. His entire life has been about abusing the legal system to get what he wants.

I like how just summarizing the charges against Trump takes up nearly half of the article:

As of August 27, 2024, Donald Trump has been personally charged with 92 criminal offenses in four criminal cases. This total reflects charges related to Trump’s attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election, election interference in Georgia, falsifying business records in New York, and mishandling classified records after leaving the presidency. Donald Trump is the first former president in U.S. history to be criminally indicted.

In New York, Trump was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records. Prosecutors proved that Trump was involved in an illegal conspiracy to undermine the 2016 election in connection with concealing hush money payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. He will be sentenced in September.

Slightly over 1 year ago, (Aug. 14, 2023) Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis officially filed a slew of RICO charges against Trump and 16 of his cohorts suspected to be involved in election tampering.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

He will be sentenced in September.

No, not so much. The judge pushed this back. Maybe next September.

[–] KingGordon 13 points 1 week ago

What an absolute asshole.

[–] peopleproblems 9 points 1 week ago

You know what just dawned on me?

He might have large numbers of voter support.

But he has almost no information on how much of that is useful. There are a few paramilitary organizations here and there. But for the size of the US and armed citizen to Magat ratio, he has no idea if his rhetoric will do anything after he starts crying.

Or... Like it was said on Weekend Update we're all gonna get audited anyway.

The Dems should countersue and then sue against frivolous lawsuits. It’s going to be such bullshit if we have another Bush v Gore, the Dems cannot take the L for preserving peace or unity. You can’t have peace with autocrats or fascists

[–] Hayduke 8 points 1 week ago

You know, I am starting to think this feller doesn't like to follow convention.
