“Reload” is what makes it real.

But is there an American police issue weapon with 8 shots 🤔

[–] [email protected] 50 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Many police can and do carry their own firearms. I could see a rural or just general chud cop carrying a 1911, which is 7+1.

Good knowledge. Real it is

Makes it a bit easier to gauge if you're feeling lucky, punk.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/M1911_pistol#Users

Wikipedia lists some use by SWAT and such but it doesn't mention any normal police use in the US.

It wasn't his first romantic encounter of the day.

Aren't most handguns equipped with 13-18 rounds?

[–] Psaldorn 13 points 2 months ago (4 children)

You aren't required to fire until empty.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 2 months ago (1 children)

No, but do the cops have the necessary restraint to not pull the trigger until it clicks?

[–] Psaldorn 21 points 2 months ago

I guess it does remove the requirement of being able to count

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 months ago

SOP upon hearing an acorn

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago

...but, but, they were scared! They were forced, no, coerced into firing until empty, because of the cruel crime of the missing license...

[–] testfactor 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

True, but I don't know why you'd reload after 8 if that were the case.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

Backup ammo in case you need to tactical reload before shooting the concerned bystanders.

Bash.org died? So we now need an archive of an archive?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

backup-2-final

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago

I love that I knew exactly what classic it would be just from the bash.org archive link

Took me a while to realise that it was talking about the non-police role-playing as police.

Not police role-playing sexual scenarios, like it’s some regular daily part of their job.

Before realizing it said reload, I thought those were classic truncheon impacts.

[–] thesporkeffect 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Must be nice to live in some kind of heaven where cops don't mag dump in the presence of a loud noise

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

I don't, but my onomatopoeia for gunfire isn't pow. That's for bludgeons or fists. Batman-style.

This is funny but I doubt that comes up in casual conversation, ever.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 months ago
