Hello, is this the Qatar water park support line? I'm stuck on level 17 in the north east block. People are piling up behind me. Get us out of here!

Thank you, waterpark, for seizing the opportunity. Aquatar is a spectacular name.

I'm not sure how I'm supposed to say it. I'm pretty sure the country isn't pronounced "kwatar"

To be fair it's an oil themed water park so tar seems logical

No, but it’s a portmanteau, it’s okay that the first sound is different!

Can't believe RTGame got real world planning permission for his blender

The good thing is, they only need to put water in the top third, the bottom 2 thirds are lubricated by vomit.

Great image for a water slide themed SCP

All I can think is it has to be a massive pain in the ass to do maintenance. You'd have to shut down the whole park and remove a bunch of unrelated slides to fix anything on one ride.

When The Boiler breaks

So you have to shut down The Fractionator, Extruder, Cracker, and Vaporizer

This can't be a real park. How would you even get to the waterslides, what stair system would work with this?

it's real and if it didn't already look dystopian enough, everything is oil themed for some fucking reason.

I believe it was built for the world cup but wasn't finished in time, yet another $200+ million wasted in the desert.

Bonkers. I guess if you can dream it you can build it.Still this really is a waste of resources.

Looks like someone had to skip a shopping vacation. Oh well...

Announced: 04 Oct 2017; Construction Start: 04 May 2019. Timeline matches then I think.

260 Qatari Riyal = 72 USD. Imagine what it’d cost if the victims’ families were properly compensated:

Wiki - Qatar

Also a comment from March on Theme Park Investigator:

The park will never fully open, since the main contractor did not pay the suppliers. All are refusing to return to finish their works. It’s a shame as it would have been an amazing park.

Then there are photos from May alleging various rides are not open.

How would you even get to the waterslides

Helicopter?

I'm curious about the bottom left slide. It kinda looks like some dumbass kid could maybe manoeuvre themself in such a way to grab the edge and hoik theirself over

It's called The Tornado. They have them at a bunch of water parks in the states. So far, nobody's been crazy enough to try that yet.

Ahh, you're in a rubber ring. It's bigger than I realised
