May as well be halfway shared with Sisyphus, as they keep patching it forever.

Reject modernity, return to cobblestone

I'm sure you're joking but my city just replaced two intersections with stone paving. It's nice and smooth too, I wonder if it'll last longer than asphalt.

I'm not sure where this picture was taken, but Departments of Transportation in many communities will have a test road where they try out various road surfaces and paints. I suspect this is one of them.

Apparently I live on a test road.

At least these are fixes. The roads around me are just potholed to hell

As my dad used to say: "Hop onto the lunar Rover".

It's the Patchwork Highway. It's a tourist attraction. It's been all over Pinterest. That'll be $5.

European plastic posts, and having "reflector" on the left side, so I'd say UK

I'm not so sure. I'm British and I can't say this looks British at all. We don't have a solid middle line in our highway code. Happy to be proven wrong, though.

Looks somewhat german to me as a german.

Agreed, unless it's a private road. Might also explain why it has been patched so many times instead of being resurfaced.

Sky's too blue to be the UK.

This road is maintained by Microsoft®

[–] Okokimup 4 points 10 months ago

This is art.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 10 months ago

Appearance doesn't matter, it's all about smoothness.

For the contractor, that's job security.

[–] themeatbridge 4 points 10 months ago

Pennsylvania drivers be like "You guys are getting patches?"

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago

You go down Patch lane thar.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago

Windows re-imagined as a road.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

It does have a striking resemblance to Windows Mobile

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Sniper, left of the tall tree!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Looking at the picture makes me wonder when all the crops are going to pop up

Was this taken in Utah? Because it looks much better than most roads here in Utah.
