That's a bit hyperbolic. You can complete a task, a project, a goal. Maybe your task is to do this weeks laundry. Maybe your goal is to build a habit around finishing your laundry. Or your project is to assess your wardrobe and donate your old clothes.

All completable things that should give your brain dopamine and make you feel good about yourself, it's natural and okay to find joy from those things!

I have to buy the little gas station packs because I will eat a whole fucking box of Oreos if they're around.

Double stuff golden 😁

Same. I have some aged Old Navy hoodies in tall sizes that go to about the bottom of my jeans zipper.

I asked for a couple new ones (same size and SKU!) for Christmas and the bottom sits at the bottom of my belt so if I move or stretch it's a belly shirt...

Eddie Bauer has been the same lately, the tall sizes are like maybe 1-2" longer but I'm not only extremely tall, but my torso is proportionally pretty long.

If I could be 5'10" that'd be great. I think most people take it for granted that the whole world is made for average height.

I've noticed this a lot lately. Extremely long winded and well written emails that could just be a few bullet points.

Give me the human version please. If your email fills my entire screen it's going through the GPT gauntlet and if your point is lost that's kinda on you.

If you ever find a way around this let me know, it's maddening. Especially overseas contacts where I have to wait a day in-between responses, sometimes it takes a week or more to get what I need.

The different pupil sizes is usually indicative of brain injury, if you haven't already maybe get that checked out. It can be just an eye abnormality (rare) but it's usually not a great sign....

The implication 😈

You make a great case, the shell of the idea seems pretty sound. It will be a real slug for some of us though.

Hi guys, I see there's no posts here yet so let's chat!

My earliest memories of misophonia were around age 6-7. My older brother was a loud eater and would tease me about my reactions, and my dad had TMJ (clicky jaw) and downplayed how it made me feel. I coped by eating quickly and excusing myself or sometimes my parents would get me a separate table when we ate out.

As an adult (37 today) I've gotten better at coping and I work with understanding people that listened when I explained it and asked my office mates to not eat at their desks.

It's still a difficult condition to live with and I avoid movies and certain social situations. I also hate confrontation it by the time I get the nerve to say something about it I'm already enraged.

How are y'all doing?

I assumed just German memes but I was always afraid to ask on Reddit. Is there a specific style of humor, or jokes about things only Germans would understand?

Danke πŸ™
