Just spend a fortune on nice wooden ones that are sturdy and a nice shade of fancy wood you like & never worry about hangers ever again. And make sure the hardware suits the fancy particular wood you choose. Don’t want a pine/gold (ick!) fiasco happening in that closet! Be sure to buy a couple hundred so you don’t run out!

If it were me I’d go like a nice dark walnut and anodized black hardware. That would look so stealthy and cool!

Or just do like I actually do and get free wooden ones off Facebook marketplace! Lol

I’m actually a fan of the plastic ones from ikea. They hold the shirts a bit higher and they push real close together.

This is what I did too. Wooden hangers are great!

We use plastic and wood. I love the wood ones from Ikea.

I do woodworking as a hobby and would be willing to sell some granted I was provided with dimensions and preferred materials.

Yeah the fancier the better OP! Get this guy to make you some real baller hangers ;)

Lmao I honestly didn't know people have wooden hangers. We just use the cheap plastic ones. But someone said something about wooden hangers and I do woodworking as a hobby so I thought; hey, I could probably make a hanger!

I... Actually like the plastic ones. I mean, the only other option I know of are the even cheaper wire ones, which always get bent out of shape with my heavy clothes.

Same, got some cheap ones from Ikea and am happy with them

There are wooden ones that I tend to like, but they're a little more expensive for something that hardly matters

From just reading the headline, I was a bit hesitant to open this post... We use the heaver-duty wire hangers since we don't have much closet space and can cram more in that way.

[–] unce 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I think the cheap wire ones are the best because they take up the least amount of space

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Where do you even buy these anymore? I agree with you, but I only ever see those shitty highly-breakable plastic ones.

[–] unce 1 points 1 year ago

I think I got mine at either walmart or a dollar store

[–] the16bitgamer 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Honestly I never cared. But I always hated flimsy ones. If I can't bend it like a twist tie, its good enough for me.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (2 children)

So, no wire hangers, ever?

[–] the16bitgamer 1 points 1 year ago

Yeah wasn't a fan of them, felt like if I pulled them hard enough they'd break and I'd need to fix them.

Man, if i could figure out how to insert a gif here, Mommie Dearest would be all up in this mess!

[–] SkybreakerEngineer 1 points 1 year ago

I hear that statues of Hoid make good coat hangers

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

For t shirts, I like the slim velvet ones. The velvet keeps the shirts from sliding off and they take less space than the usual plastic
For heavier or nicer things, wood.

Is price an object?

If not these are very nice hangers:

Jimmy from the coat-check booth at the club my grandfather used to bring me to. He was really nice.
