Was he over the legal alcohol limit? Yes, but did he hurt anybody? No! He's a fine upstanding citizen, and I'm going to give him a $1,000,000 raise he's such an upstanding guy.

Considering it's Mike Johnson's chief of staff, I'm pretty sure the drinking was celebratory.
The responsible ones found a safe way to get home.
Walk to the nearest train station. It's how any responsible person would travel.
Sadly, much of this country is built around fucking cars. And the richest Nazi in the world runs a car company.
They were in DC and could have taken the Metro, taken a cab/rideshare, or had one of the other villains in attendance that wasn't drunk drive them home.
So, the 99% will be paying for the damage, and nary a word will be spoken about a drunken, non-elected appointed representative who will be laughing about it in a week's time.
Well a DUI isn't that bad - at least he wasn't looking at porn. /s
Looking at porn is fine, as long as one of his children gets an app notification on their phone when he does.

Stalin didn't have a conscience and he still nervously drank like he was hiding a body under the rug.
