Yeah I mean to say it's not your sole source of information. I'm sorry you had to go through that

This site is maybe the worst echo chamber I've ever experienced it's just one that suites my opinions. Hell even if I agree with the echo chamber but I'm the wrong way it gets rejected aggressively. If you think it's bots then that seems like a more legitimate complaint but if it's a repost getting enough upvotes and is not weighted for controversy then it's actually the terminally online people that know every post suffering with their obsession and not the community at large. I completely disagree with that theory

Then down vote it? Isn't that the point of that button? I'm assuming a big problem with Reddit was they wanted controversial posts seen which took away from the power of down voting but hopefully Lemmy doesn't? I don't actually know though

You probably also don't watch far right media all day. Fox News and it's spawn have been fear mongering trans people almost non-stop for years now. That's the entire disconnect from the right and normal people

Ah yeah. Might just be a bad graph since it says "by income group" and then breaks down by the actual bracket. Not sure exactly which it means still but I think they're right

I know how marginal taxes work and you didn't address my question. If the tax on above $300k is less than it was before you are paying less. What is this about something changing at $1 million?

But the cuts could start benefiting you at the $300k bracket relative to before. What's the actual change?

Something tells me most of his voters have no idea what he did last time

Wanted to say this too. It's Lemmy's biggest problem and keeps putting me off. I don't recommend Lemmy to people in person anymore because of them. I don't know if I would be more disturbed if they're mostly state actors astroturfing or just deeply unwell real people

I think that's right. It's also just the way they're depicted with the same head base as the others. Typically memes with these use the head base to denote respectability, like in the libertarian right, to degrade them. But they're also a Nazi still? So I assume they're not sympathetic to them. Feels like the meme equivalent of a typo I guess

I'm a little confused with the auth/right in this one
