Ah yes, the classic "so busy being 'great' that they forgot to be 'good."
I would not be surprised if Stephen Miller has recommended bringing back American blackface Minstrel shows.
Can't wait for the revival of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" starring Kelsey Grammer and Jim Caviezel, directed by Mel Gibson with new music by Kid Rock.
Nice, more money to save when they close it due to lack of interest. #doge

People build a culture and outsiders insist on inserting themselves into it and forcing others to cater to their tastes. Same thing that always happens with “anti-woke” culture warriors. They cannot create, only co-opt
Also Christianity.
The church has a long and rich history of funding the arts. The whole cultural ghouls thing is a more recent phenomenon.
Boycott this bullshit.
No attendance or artist participation until big orange goes away.
Sadly I feel like this will result in the Kennedy Center being closed or at least largely defunded due to a lack of profitability.
At the same time, I don't plan on attending anything there in the next few years because of this change. It really is a lose-lose situation.
How long until Kid Rock or Ted Nugent take up permanent residency?
Them two and that Joe Rogan fella.
Ben Shapiro as well. Maybe he can open for them.
Unfortunately I think financially destroying the program and/or replacing art with fascist propaganda are the most probable outcomes as well as the most positive outcomes for fascism.
The White House defended the move, saying it aims to restore the center’s prestige by aligning it with "America’s great history and traditions."
Yes, America does have a history of being bigoted, non-inclusive assholes so they're right about that.
So what's the officially-sanctioned art in the 4th Reich?
In the 3rd, it was roman-style statues and Wagner. I'm guessing it'll be AI-generated portraits of His Orangeness and Kid Rock in the 4th...
Ben Folds resigned from his role there:
Always nice to hear when people you like aren't complete pieces of shit.
Is the thumbnail a mashup of Elon and Donald?
Controlling the culture is a hallmark of fascism.
Small wonder. Might be that the people that want to attend such things prefer things to be "woke", no matter how many tears the right wing dipshits shed about it. How many in the RW would attend such things, anyway?
This is like taking over some special interest group like a vegetarian cuisine and book club meetup and then crying it's too "woke", making it a BBQ gathered around a television blaring Faux "News", and being surprised when no one shows up.
This is just sad
