  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Summary

Ken Martin, the new DNC chair, has begun his first multistate tour on Monday, visiting key swing and red states including Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Illinois, Texas, and Missouri.

His itinerary includes meetings with union representatives, state party chairs, and door-knocking for a special election candidate near Pittsburgh.

A former Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL) leader, Martin said the tour aims to reconnect with diverse voters, rebuild the party’s brand after recent losses, and aggressively counter policies and misinformation from Trump and others.

So the elected chairman of the DNC “takes over” the party, but the legacy media can’t say that about an actual fascist dictator. Got it.

Also, when you're installed by the establishment, you're not taking over anything.

Well of course not. They're republiQans. Or, owned by them anyway.

I’m sure they have a rock solid plan to send out more donation emails.

The Titanic chose a new Captain today after the humiliating iceberg incident, insists we have not taken on too much water and pleads for unity aboard the sinking ship.

I mean I'm not going to hold my breath here. Unless I see some actions behind those words, which I have yet to hear, none of this means a damn thing.

The DNC needs to die and make room for a leftist party

The US runs on a two party system, your options are:

  • Reform the DNC from the inside
  • Accept the status quo

You're welcome to hold that opinion but you can't claim it's supported by history; we've had political parties die and be replaced plenty of times before.

I would argue the conditions necessary for a similar event to the collapse of the Whigs simply do not exist anymore. You're never going to peel enough people off with the level of ideological polarization that we have now.

Oh it’s the “good billionaires” idiot, I bet he’s off doing a funding run while pretending he listens to people.

Well it seems this guy can talk the talk; now it remains to be seen whether he's willing to walk the walk.

Where they will wring their hands and wag their fingers and do jack shit to stop fascism. Spineless pieces of trash.

[–] Lasherz12 4 points 2 days ago

I guess we'll know pretty quick whether he's on our side or the "good billionaires'" side pretty quickly.

Back to populism to get some wins before bending over for the oligarchs. The DNC seems incapable of learning.

Hey non-voters and third partiers: Go to this and participate.

Or, don't and continue pretending you've got it all figured out.

2028 is going to be here in like 30 seconds. Does everyone have a national organization yet? . . I mean a viable one. One with more than, like, 20 people in each state. No? Well. You . . should get that going then. Or, y'know, use the one that's already here.

2028 is going to be here in like 30 seconds.

It's been two years and it's only February
