Summary

Calvin Robinson, a Michigan priest with the Anglican Catholic Church, has been defrocked after making what appeared to be a Nazi salute at the National Pro-Life Summit on January 25.

The church revoked his license, condemning the gesture as harmful and contrary to Christian values.

Robinson defended it as a joke mocking liberals' criticism of Elon Musk, whose own gestures and comments on Nazism have sparked controversy.

The dipshit didn't realise that there can be consequences if you aren't a billionaire.

But he proved a point... If he did the same thing musk did as a "joke" then now you can't deny musk did a Nazi salute if this guy got in trouble for it by copying him...

Add this to evidence against musk in his I'm not a Nazi lawsuit

Ahhhhh...NOW it's called a Nazi salute. I get it.

Should have used the word "obvious" instead.

For those, like myself, who have never heard of the Anglican Catholic Church: they are neither Anglican nor Catholic.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 5 days ago

Yeah. This is one of the breakaway groups from when the Episcopal Church started ordaining women in the 1970s. Fun fact: the "Anglican Catholic Church" was one of the names considered for the Episcopal Church when it was founded.

It's interesting to see the contrast between his remarks and that of Bishop Budde.

I thought it was the Atlantic Coast Conference

They rightly condemn the Nazi salute, but they haven't quite realized that forcing unwilling women to undergo childbirth is Nazi tactics.

one person got away with it and now they're all gonna begin testing the waters

It's just like the "OK" sign they all just happened to do in the same exaggerated way. Or sometimes they just flash a 3% sign at the police while walking by to go murder people with their AR-15, and the cops toss you a water after the deed is done.

So his defense was that he was merely intending to humiliate people who find issue with the gesture?

Get defrocked, idiot. (I love the term "defrocked", haha)

[–] [email protected] 8 points 5 days ago

No, no, no, I was saying Heil Musk

Christianity has a rich history of changing to match the dominant culture. This isn't even the first time Christians have supported Nazis.

What about the loser on top?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 days ago
