Yeah. It's in Canada so winter snow is a fact of life. I think the rule here is with 48 hours of snow stopping, but most people try and hit it before they get too much foot traffic so you don't end up with packed snow caked to the cement

Ah it was a rough aggregate mixed with sand apparently with a little salt mixed in. I wish it was real dirt.

Pigtailing is so ubiquitous where I am that this just looks weird.

I don't actually know if it's strictly code in my area, or just common practice.

Our city leaves free dirt out at the fire station for people to spread on their sidewalks in the winter. I grabbed some for the back ally which is very icy.

I probably only grabbed 30 lbs or so, but I was still very diligent to lift it properly. Last thing I need over the holidays is to have a sore back.

I mean, that's kinda the crux of it, right?

If the response was unpredictable, then it isn't terrorism.

If the response was predictable, then the court would be acknowledging that the victim was a giant piece of shit.

Finland has mandatory civil service. Vast majority of men have done at least a brief period of military service.

This would be much more about skill maintenance than "learning to shoot"

People who are experts in the subject.

Propegandists thrive by trying to convince people that they can't trust anyone, because it makes foolish people believe that every voice carries equal merit.

I was so bad at keeping on top of washing my dishes in Uni that I absolutely decided to have exactly 1 plate, cup, mug,and each cutlery. Can't have more dirty dishes than you have dishes.

What value is a summary when you fully acknowledge that you can not trust it for accuracy?

My wife was born in ( but too late to remember) a former Soviet state.

Talking with her grandma is pretty interesting. Recently with global inflation, some of the grandmas friends were speaking fondly about government controlled price of bread.

Then my grandma (in law) who still has more of her marbles than any 91 year old I've ever met said "lol, yeah that was the price on the sign, but there was no bread in the store!"

"Ooooohhhhh yyyeeaaaaahhhh....."

TC has been a Russian mouthpiece for over a decade. He's been going hard in the paint for Assad (Putin's man) since the Obama administration.

Yeah but that would make for an even shittier comic.

I know that the CTrain reminders to not forget your newspapers when leaving the train have been overwhelmingly successful because I haven't seen a newspaper on the train even one time in the last 10 years.
