Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Video of Elon Musk performing a Nazi Salute side by side to a video of a Neo Nazi performing a Nazi Salute

[–] [email protected] 5 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago)

Guys, it's not a nazi salute - those literal nazis were just "giving their hearts". Come on, stop being blinded by your ideology.

For those of you struggling, no I do not actually believe this.

The ADL exists to normalize fascism and "Israeli" colonialism. That's it. It's a subversive fascist lobbying group masquerading as some kind of pro-equality, anti-racist civil society nonprofit group. Absolutely disgusting organization.

Musk responded “Thanks guys” with a laugh-crying emoji.

When you know you've lost the plot.

Most of the story is behind a paywall.

The ADL considers anti-zionism to be antisemitic.

I literally don't give a shit what the ADL thinks.

[–] Serinus 17 points 14 hours ago

This is the most clear possible destruction of their credibility. It's the thing you point to when you say they're full of shit.

Still poignant to point out how absolutely stupid and hypocritical this entire group is with their bullshit of literally defending a actual Nazi giving the Nazi salute in broadcast tv.

[–] CharlesDarwin 36 points 23 hours ago

Agreed. It seems they only exist to squelch any criticism of Israel.

[–] [email protected] 52 points 21 hours ago

The ADL has been questionable for a long time, but this definitively kills the last bit of credibility they ever had. From this point on, anything they say should be ignored.

Oh, and Justice for Pepe, you downright pieces of shit

The ADL is anti-Semitic, they need to be investigated.

[–] [email protected] 39 points 19 hours ago

One of the common anti-Semitic tropes is equating Jews with the state of Israel, something the ADL routinely does.

[–] [email protected] 80 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The ADL has been supporting Nazis forever.

[–] VubDapple 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Could you provide some examples please? This is the first time I'm aware that they have intentionally looked away.

Nazis in this case means genocidal states, aka Israel.

Zionists in particular. Ethnostates are fascist in principle.

[–] [email protected] -5 points 16 hours ago

Ethnostates are fascist in principle.

I wouldn't go that far, but they are at high risk of being antidemocratic and oppressive. If your idea of a nation is a club for hating an out-group, with an army, that's going to lead to trouble.

He just had heartburn, you guys. He was reacting to all that burning and in exasperation, was gesticulating wildly and accidentally did it! Er, twice.
