Efficiency means not following the rules. Getting things done faster, but ultimately shittier, because you're rushing it. Making quick descions even though you don't have enough information to make a good one.
Yeah, sounds like Musk.
Boss: "How did you get this done already?"
Me: "I upped efficiency by employing clever time-saving techniques."
Boss: "So you cut corners."
Me: "Hell yeah I did."
Thank you. Also, fuck the media for reporting on DOGE like it’s already some official government agency.
Don’t worry, silly things like law or Constitution don’t hold any power now. His Majesty King Trump is above such things.
Musk is gonna run DOGE like he runs everything else...fast and loose. Let the bugs run out in production and chase 'em there.
s/bugs/lawyers
One thing about musk...he shoots first and asks questions later. He is the embodiment of asking for forgiveness instead of permission. That can be a good trait in some circumstances, but not really in running a government agency.
The lawsuit alleges DOGE violates the 1972 Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA)
I vote that we rename this by switching "Federal" to "Civil." Then we can sue DOGE for violating CACA. And then I can have one last chuckle before everything burns.
No mention of Vivek Ramaswamy?
Don’t forget the oxymoronic Department of Government “Efficiency” has two heads… 😂
He already announced he’s leaving DOGE to go run for Governor of Ohio.
Is he going to co-govern Ohio too? 🤣
Holy shit. Ohio is around 100% white racist assholes, I don’t think they’ll embrace Vivek there.
Serious? That was fast.
...and it's also entirely redundant. That function is already done by a real government agency, not the bullshit broligarchy project run by Elon (and maybe Vivek but I saw a rumor he may quit).
Ain't nothing gonna happen.
I am legit curious, the department did not exist prior to the inauguration, it needs to be legalized first, with new laws and regulations that give it actual power, no? So how can they sue it the second after the inauguration of the new president?
Or does it magically get legal power and existence because 2 citizens (musk and trump) say so?
It seems like a rational move to sue, because it likely may never be given formal power and may be exercising it regardless. That's because Trump will not ask for anyone's permission to do a thing unless he absolutely has to.
Where we see institutional authority and mandate by following a process, Trump sees it as preemptive capitulation to restrictions on power. That's why the firehose of falsehoods and insane conduct is so effective - it may sound trite to say it, but every crazy thing he says/does that is beyond our ability to hold him accountable is one additional thing he is beyond accountability for.
Or does it magically get legal power and existence because 2 citizens (musk and trump) say so?
Ding Ding Ding.
And it gets the rest of its power from the Department of "What the fuck are you going to do about it?"
