Summary

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) faced backlash online after claiming, without evidence, that Democrats might attempt to “steal” the certification of Donald Trump as president.

Her remarks, posted on social media, drew criticism as overly dramatic and unnecessary, especially given the routine nature of the certification process, which proceeded without incident.

The comments came on the anniversary of the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, leading many to contrast the peaceful proceedings with past unrest.

Critics dismissed her rhetoric as attention-seeking and partisan posturing.

Then nothing happens.

"Well they knew they'd fail, so they didn't even TRY! Not because they didn't want to, but because we win so hard!"

"I called attention to it and they didn't do it. That means I stopped them. I'm your hero, give me money."

Then nothing happens “because MAGA was prepared for their steal this time!”

The next person who tries to tell me to treat maga with compassion first needs to explain to my satisfaction why they all need to be the biggest asshole in the room 24x7.

Who is saying that? Not specifically, but what type of person would even suggest that?

If there is ever a time to “steal an election” or more clearly, refuse to certify it, it’s when a convicted felon is taking over and talking about being a dictator on day one.

I wonder if this was the plan, keep calling fraud so when you totally break the rules, your opponent has already doubled down on following the rules no matter what.

"Steal" means do or say anything to oppose him ever.

[–] [email protected] -4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Ofc the two "parties" are going to work together. They're constant collaborators in violently maintaining their control.

Which is why stop the steal/January 6 never happened, at all. Or if it did, Democrats did it. Or if they didn't, Biden did, or if he didn't, antifa did. Whatever the case, they weren't a Republican a day in their life

Guess I sadly need a /s
