Summary

Pete Hegseth, Trump’s pick for Secretary of Defense, faces scrutiny over past infidelity and allegations of misconduct.

A Vanity Fair report reveals Hegseth cheated on his first wife, Meredith Schwarz, multiple times during their four-year marriage, which ended in 2008.

His second marriage also ended in divorce after he fathered a child with his Fox News producer, now his third wife.

Additionally, a 2017 sexual assault allegation, which Hegseth denies, has resurfaced, raising concerns about his suitability for the role and complicating his confirmation process.

while 5 affairs may not sound like much by trump standards, please keep in mind that this marriage only lasted 4 years. he’s still averaging over 1 new affair per year

Five affairs they found out about.

Only 5? Republicans are saying you gotta pump those numbers up, and pay off a porn star before you can have real respect

pretty sure the far right evangelical maga crowd just went ahead and defined, long ago, that "traditional family values" is cheating on your wife, that's just part of being married. along with beating up literally everyone in the family

Far right evangelical maga crowd defines virtue as any action performed by a white christian man irrespective of harm caused.

Well you see, god works through imperfections in the man to achieve his goals.

And imperfect vessel can accomplish the perfection of gods will.

Or something like that, depending on the rationalization being used that day.

Literally, I've heard some rationalize that God works his BEST work through the MOST imperfect beings....wtf??

[–] satanmat 2 points 4 hours ago

Christ was gods perfect example BUT he needs trump to actually get stuff done.

Uh-huh. Sure.

[–] TrickDacy 1 points 9 hours ago

I think you nailed exactly the rationale of some of these fuckheads

Isn't that a dishonorable discharge from the military?

[–] evasive_chimpanzee 5 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

It is a violation of the UCMJ, and absolutely something they could court martial and imprison or discharge you for.

[–] Madison420 1 points 12 minutes ago

Violations of the ucmj do not have a bright line statute of limitations and you can be called before tribunal at the demands of the defense department at any time.

Also a proponent of teaching "Christian values" to school children so they can become a new Christian nationalist "insurgency".

Fucking disgusting hypocrisy.

No wonder Trump is about to dump him, those are rookie numbers. He's gotta up his Infidelity game if he wants to serve as a leader in Trump's America.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 hours ago

So, I think the alternative is Ron DeSantis. Not much better.

[–] gibmiser 4 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Don't worry, despite not being loyal to the one person who is supposedly the most important in his life, I'm sure he will be loyal and dedicated to our country!

[–] NABDad 3 points 9 hours ago

despite not being loyal to the one person who is supposedly the most important in his life

What are you taking about? If he wasn't loyal to Trump, he wouldn't have gotten the nomination in the first place.
