Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Teamster here.

I literally had three members yell at me for suggesting that Republicans hate unions.

I laughed in their faces and told them to save as much as they can.

I'm sorry, but fucking what

What union member isn't aware of who the enemy is

[–] [email protected] 26 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Idiots. Unions are full of them.

[–] GladiusB 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

They are. I manage 30 union employees. Most of em hate the union since it puts the bar to the lowest asshole who fucks around everywhere. But they voted it in for another department having just as many people and way more fuck ups.

I was a union branch president. Can confirm most of the guys WHO NEED the union to keep their job DESPISE the union they are in. Totally lack any self awareness...Propaganda is a hell of a drug

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

Public sector unions will be eliminated under Trump. There will be no right to organize

He'll carve out an exception for police. They're his "brown shirts" and he'll probably authorize them to enforce Federal law.

[–] inclementimmigrant 48 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Yup.

Actions have consequences and rank and file union members that voted Trump are going to find out that the dildo of consequences never comes lubed when ordered through Trump's enterprises.

[–] qarbone 19 points 1 week ago

The only time something from Trump was more than you bargained for is when it's either bills or consequences.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

Ignoring the needs of the working class had consequences too

[–] foggy 29 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Does this include the police??

[–] pivot_root 38 points 1 week ago

Nah, the only thing they'll be shedding is body cams.

TEAMSTER'S NON-ENDORSEMENT FOR THE WIN!

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago

I don't think that was deciding factor, but yeah. The leopards will feast well.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

[–] Paranoidfactoid 3 points 1 week ago

Yes. Makes you wonder about the top leadership.
