Do these people think real life is a fucking game? At this point I'm convinced repoblicans are delusional

[–] [email protected] 96 points 1 week ago

...because they are?

[–] [email protected] 89 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That's the result of being rich and not knowing what consequences are.

Imaging touching a hot plate and not burning yourself. What incentive would there be to not touch that plate?

When you have enough money and power to avoid experiencing the vast majority of consequences of your actions, then life does become a game for the vast majority of the time.

The reluctance of governments to take action against the rich and powerful just feeds their delusions further.

Do these people think real life is a fucking game?

Yes. And that they have to 'win'. And that the consequences for other people 'don't matter'.

That wouldn't even fucking work, lol. You need, at minimum, a proof of address, and even if you spoofed 10 different names and addresses that each corresponded to 10 specific precincts, you're going to be given a provisional ballot, in which case your vote doesn't even get counted until it has been independently researched and verified by county workers, which if it succeeds, won't get counted till a week later.

God. I fucking hate that these idiots have a non-zero chance of winning.

[–] LANIK2000 45 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I can't belive it's a bloody coin flip...

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I can. We've seen so much proof that 30% of people will believe literally anything.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 week ago

In fact 30% is probably on the low end given poll results on issues like climate change and evolution vs. creationism.

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 week ago

Hey! Your "FACTS" don't TRUMP her FEELINGS!

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 week ago

This also tells me she never voted.. doesn't even know how the thing works.

[–] TrickDacy 116 points 1 week ago (3 children)

We live in a world that if you call someone an idiot or violate some other arbitrary rule you get banned, but if you spread dangerous lies you usually are fine and rarely see a consequence

[–] [email protected] 61 points 1 week ago

she's obviously not going to get banned on her son's weird personal blog

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 week ago (7 children)

Yeah. Shit like this has driven me to the conclusion that the logical end state of civility politics invariably tends towards fascism.

She’s not even American. Pretty wild for an immigrant to be throwing so much shade at immigrants.

[–] [email protected] 60 points 1 week ago (4 children)

It's really not that wild, many legal immigrants want to pull the ladder up behind them.

Source: am married to an immigrant and work with several. All of them seem to like Trump's immigration policies for some reason...

[–] dejected_warp_core 13 points 1 week ago (12 children)

I honestly can't wrap my head around this. If I emigrated elsewhere to flee this shit-show, I would absolutely help other people cross whatever borders I did.

And every fucking time it's been proven in court, it's been a Republican that did it.

[–] NotMyOldRedditName 24 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (3 children)

The game I always play when I see news stories like this is

Who did it.

I always guess republican.

I'm not sure when I was last wrong... it's very rare.

Should have let her run her little scam so she could go to jail like the other Karen's.

I didn't realize Musk bought citizenship for his apartheid mother. And she's here quoting sovcit qnut conspiracy garbage at us like it's a real thing. Fuck the Musk family until the end of time.

She's just prepping some Rs to think that faking votes is easy so they'll be more accepting of the idea that the election was stolen when Trump loses. As a bonus she also makes it seem like the R party is the one stopping this fictional fraud.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 1 week ago

It's very clear that these people legitimately do not understand how voter registration works on even the most basic level.

She's rich. And she's white.

She's not going to be charged.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 1 week ago

She's Elon Musk's mother and a republican, her sense of constantly feeling like a victum is punishment in itself

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Here's a fun article about how different people are treated differently for the same crime. You gotta love the good ol' U.S. of A.

White Trump voters get probation for intentional election fraud while Black women get years in prison for being given bad information by the State.

I demand you stop calling her Megatron, that is way too cool of a nickname for that woman.

Why besmirch Megatron's good name like that?

[–] taiyang 41 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Nobody wants to point out the community notes sound like the narrator from Arrested Development?

Just some... light treason.

Do they not realize how annoying and hard it is for the average person to vote just once during an election?

People don’t have that much free time.

[–] NotMyOldRedditName 17 points 1 week ago

It's easier when you just stand in line for 3 hours, walk up to the intake desk, and immediately provide all 10 names.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 week ago (11 children)

This is why I love mail voting.

  1. receive ballot in mail
  2. fill it out
  3. mail it (must pay postage) or drop it off at a ballot box sometime in the 2-weeks before the election

I have never actually voted in-person, I just don't have the time for that.

I didn't know Elon Musk's mom was Cruella DeVille

Ah we've found the source of the insanity! So he was always like this huh, since birth.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 week ago (6 children)

Conspiracy theory is that this is another one of Elon's sock puppet accounts. A version of his mom that appreciates his work.

Republicans don't make up the bullshit about election fraud, they read their own playbook and only change the names. Such is the criminal weirdo party.

Holy shit your right elon is all of them!

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod 25 points 1 week ago (5 children)

Poll workers totally won't realize the same person voted ten times.

And it's totally feasible to register in 10 different places and drive to them all and wait in line 10 times in a single day.

Everything makes sense now. Elon works for mom.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil 20 points 1 week ago

The way she tossed it out there so casually, as though we knew everyone could do this but we were politely holding back and playing fair until this moment...

At least now we know where Musk gets his bazimga brain from.

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 week ago

Given how many people wanted to leave Facebook when their mums joined it, we can only hope that Elon starts to feel the same.

[–] Etterra 18 points 1 week ago (2 children)

There's no need to sully the good name of Lord Megatron.

She can be called Megakaren.
