Every sovcit post I've seen looks like it belongs in the aneurysm posting community.

[–] [email protected] 29 points 9 months ago (1 children)

What don't you innerstand about what they're sayin?

[–] AtariDump 6 points 9 months ago
[–] WaxedWookie 5 points 9 months ago (1 children)

The commonality there is brain damage and/or subnormal intelligence.

There are so many words here but absolutely fuck all for meaning.

[–] [email protected] 50 points 9 months ago (1 children)

What don't you innerstand?

[–] PainInTheAES 18 points 9 months ago (2 children)

I'm more of an outerstander

[–] ohlaph 5 points 9 months ago

Haha, brilliant.

I can't tell if that's a legitimate misspelling or some special sovcit concept.

[–] edgemaster72 25 points 9 months ago (2 children)

Knowing them it's probably some bullshit about how "under"standing makes them inferior and subservient but if they "inner"stand it they absorb the knowledge and that somehow gives them the power for their legal magic bullshit, idk that's as close as I think logic can get to their nonsense

[–] Tyfud 11 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

Correct. Logocentrism. This is what they all largely believe, whether they're aware of it or not.

If sovcits were literate they wouldn't be sovcits.

[–] BonesOfTheMoon 2 points 9 months ago

It may be sovcit speak. They like to refer to themselves as Eye instead of I, and use sun in place of son. I think it's the Moorish faction of sovcits who do this.

[–] SendMePhotos 28 points 9 months ago (2 children)

So like... They like to steal? They seem to use the things that businesses and society pay for, but want to provide nothing but a coupon in return?

[–] [email protected] 17 points 9 months ago (2 children)

They don't think they're trying to steal because they're convinced the government has set up a secret account for them, funded with several million dollars, that they can use to pay their debts, if only they could work out the exact form of words to use.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 9 months ago (5 children)

But why? If the system is this byzantine construct of bureaucracy designed to hide those millions supposedly everyone has to their name, why would they even give them millions in the first place?

What has the government to gain by creating a secret account for every citizen, putting millions in there, and then setting up a colossal conspiracy to hide that fact from the people?

I just don’t get the logic behind this ridiculous concept.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 9 months ago

I have no idea why they think like this. I suspect some are just convinced that there's a giant conspiracy and now they're in on it, and others are just desperate to get out from under a crushing debt they've got themselves into and are willing to try anything that gives them hope.

[–] VindictiveJudge 6 points 9 months ago

From other threads here, it's something about stock trading, international debt, and the US government not really being a governmental body but a corporation pretending to be the government with the US actually being some vaguely defined anarchist state with just the constitution and literally no government. But the 'governmant company' has to follow the constitution even though there's no enforcement. But the courts will enforce the law even though they work for gov corp, but only with the right pass phrases.

[–] Malfeasant 3 points 9 months ago

logic

Yeah, there's your problem...

And the SEKRIT MILLIONZ never run out or get bonked by economic inflation or the decline of the dollar.

[–] ohlaph 6 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Yeah, seems pretty selfish actually. Unless they really need help, it's kind of hilarious.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 months ago

If these people weren’t at their wit’s end, weren’t victims of the worst of capitalism and of poorly funded healthcare and education of the type that would have helped them recognize what the sovereign-citizen movement is, then these posts would be much more hilarious.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 9 months ago

I don't get it, why are they saying my fake non-money isn't money?

[–] [email protected] 19 points 9 months ago

You innerstand nothing!

[–] Treczoks 15 points 9 months ago (1 children)

"innerstanding" ;-) Yes, this idiot has a good "innerstanding" of the situation and how things work. Do those people take drugs that wipe common sense from their brains?

[–] BonesOfTheMoon 3 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (1 children)

I think their moms put meth on their government cheese.

[–] LemmyKnowsBest 3 points 9 months ago

innerstand > understand

out > put

Hey OP, I've seen you commenting elsewhere, so I'm guessing you aren't a bot. How come you post so much sovcit stuff? Don't get me wrong, some of it is hilarious, but it seems like such a narrow topic to post so much about

Edit: forgot to tag you because I'm really curious to know the answer. I summon thee: @[email protected]

[–] BonesOfTheMoon 20 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Also definitely I am not a bot. I'm just personality wise kind of like the kid who tried to dig to China with a teaspoon.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Keep. It. Coming. With. The. SovCit. Stuff. Please.

To the haters, I say let them tap block.

[–] BonesOfTheMoon 3 points 9 months ago

I intend to. It's too funny not to share.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 9 months ago

Eh Lemmy needs the content. It wouldn't be so obvious if more people posted their FB drama for us to laugh at, though.

[–] beetus 14 points 9 months ago (2 children)

The OP runs this community and sovcit posts have gotten the best continued traction here.

Everyone loves laughing at them and it's valid "insane people Facebook" posts.

I think we'll likely see less sovcit posts as time goes on and people get bored reading the same sad story of these people over and over again. But it'll take a bit for the novelty to wear off

[–] BonesOfTheMoon 16 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I have endless collections of these posts so I won't stop anytime soon. Also it's not depressing insane people Facebook so I think it's enjoyable.

[–] beetus 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Nice. I enjoy them too.

I guess I should have spoken only for myself there. For me, I think the novelty will wear off in a few months.

These folks are definitely struggling and being taken advantage of somehow. It's fun to point and laugh, but I also feel sorry for them.

[–] BonesOfTheMoon 3 points 9 months ago

I actually find them all greedy and nasty tbh.

[–] verity_kindle 3 points 9 months ago

I'm not bored and we have quite a vibrant little community here of people discussing legal shenanigans and comparing their own countries/legal systems. A lawyer or two has jumped in to comment.

[–] BonesOfTheMoon 12 points 9 months ago

Hey, I'm in a lot of sovcit Facebook groups for the laughs. I think they are crazy and funny and so fun to share here. There's plenty of crazy people on Facebook but most of them are depressing in some way, either mentally ill, conservative, or otherwise hateful. A lot of people don't know much about sovereign citizens so I take this as an opportunity to share a part of humanity that's wonderfully crazy so more people know about this movement because it's growing.

[–] Hikermick 5 points 9 months ago

It's the the grift that keeps on giving

Well, Jim-Bob… If you just send me $100 in that nasty paper stuff that the government “claims” is “money”, then I can destroy it safely, and send you some further instructions.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 9 months ago (3 children)
[–] raynethackery 6 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I feel dumber after reading that.

That's a lot of words to say "I am fucking mental"

[–] [email protected] 4 points 9 months ago (1 children)

What is this coupon they keep trying to use?

[–] BonesOfTheMoon 12 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (2 children)

You know the little slip on the bottom of paper bills, the remittance stub that you can send in with payment? They think if they endorse them and send no money with it that the company they are paying charge it off the 2 million dollar trust that the government has set up in everyone's name at birth. See below. Yes, that's really what they believe.

[–] Anticorp 3 points 9 months ago

These are just sad. Some of them are clearly bonkers people, but this is just a sad story about someone with limited means who is being duped by grifters.
