Imagine what they'd say if Biden decided to be "Dictator for a day". If Trump can do it, so too can Biden.

Time for the Frank Wilhoit quote:
Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition ... There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.
"Rules for me and not for thee" types can't comprehend that.
“For a day”
Sure Jan.
"My first act as dictator: a day now lasts as long as I say it does!"
Then Feb.
Just long enough for him to redefine "day" as 14088 hours /s (ugh I feel gross just saying that number, yuck)
So they don't realize one day is all it takes?
No, they realize it. They just think they'll be the ones putting boots on the necks of all the people they hate.

The dildo of consequences rarely arrives lubed.
They shouldn't buy sex toys from the Leopards-eating-faces Party.
About the "we didn't know" part, it's worth noting that we've heard it before... Recall "He’s not hurting the people he needs to be"
Yuck
Sure. Because they actually believe he would be for just one day, as if 'dictator for a day' even makes any sense. They really believe he would be dictator for a day and then be a regular old president.
Trump, as dictator: "I wish for more wishes!"
It's not that they believe him, it's that they don't care if he oversteps or abuses his power. If he was a dictator for one minute he would hurt the people they hate; he did that shit legally!
There's not one person who's ever lived I would vote to be exempt from all laws and to do whatever the hell they want. But I'm not a bootlicking sycophant, so...
Servile traitor filth.
Found our traitors!
No shock.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
The irony of Donald Trump’s assertion that he would seek to have dictatorial powers for the first day of his presidency is that he was supposed to be saying he had no authoritarian inclinations at all.
On Wednesday, UMass Amherst released the results of a poll conducted by YouGov in which respondents were asked about the concept.
It’s been obvious for years that there is a non-insignificant part of the American public, largely on the right, that is supportive of the idea of suborning democracy to absolute executive power.
He can try to mandate that a wall be built on the border with Mexico, but he tried that when he was president, too, declaring a state of emergency that allowed him to shift funding around to pay for it.
Fox News host Maria Bartiromo asked him what he meant by it in an interview on Sunday, again framing it in the context of the concerns raised by outside observers.
In response, Trump praised executive orders in general and suggested that President Biden was the one undercutting democracy.
