A monk once got locked inside the monastery.

To get back out, he played the organ until he found the right key, then unlocked the door and went outside.

Not sure if Pixel Dungeon (and its derivatives) fit in this. They're released under GPLv3. But it's a complete game, and not a clone (though it follows the traditional roguelike genre).

In the same genre, check out Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup.

Is Dr. Pepper a real doctor? I don't think he's qualified to be a soft drink.

To be fair, one of my kids is potty training and I tell them "do not wet" often enough.

Aw, did Johnson not get invited to the cool kids' table?

Sure, when you eat an apple's clothes, it's normal, but when I eat your clothes, I'm "weird" and "the worst tailor you've ever had."

So I figured I'd try my hand at a bit of CSS to create a typing effect. I started from this one, but I wanted to expand it to multi-line, so I did. Turns out there's a lot of manual timing work, so it's tedious to change. But with a little JS... I made a generator—make some for yourself!

Probably one of the least-used weapons in my experience: the club. But if you want to play Gorb the Early Hominid and bonk stuff, I got you covered.

Feedback always welcome!

Still using your own two legs like a chump? Hop inside your custom mech suit and storm into danger!

Always happy to have feedback.

Hey folks! I created a community ([email protected]) dedicated specifically to homebrew content. I don't intend to step on this group's toes, but homebrew is often something that a smaller selection of people are interested in (especially for works in progress). Head on over if you're interested--I look forward to seeing your creations!

Mods, if this is overstepping or otherwise is in bad taste, I'm more than willing to remove this post. I only joined Lemmy in June and I'm not well versed on the etiquette yet.

DnD Homebrew

Since I migrated from Reddit, I've missed sharing and seeing others' ideas for homebrew. I didn't see another community set up for it yet, so I created it!

You like cantrips? I like cantrips! Is it excessive? Maybe!

I'm not a big fan of the optional rules that allow casters to swap cantrips, as it seems to run against the lore of cantrips themselves. And there are some amazing options that are often passed over because of their niche use cases. This subclass is designed to allow you to live all your cantrip dreams!

Comments and feedback are always appreciated.

And/or: is there a way to message a mod team for a particular community?

I created /c/AskDad and want to do my due diligence in supporting it. But given the nature of that group, it's hard to just "add content" (as that comes from people asking questions). So my main option is simply promoting awareness of it.

I was considering posting in /c/AskLemmy since the two groups are somewhat related, but I'm not sure how we as a community feel about that sort of thing. Then I figured I'd message a mod, but there are lots already.

So how do we feel about cross promotion? And is there anything within Lemmy to message a mod team in general?
