You’ll have a great career in writing Amazon descriptions.

Where’s my amazons choice Rhonda?

We have to get my daughter a notebook computer that runs Windows or Mac OS for her online school she's starting next semester. Obviously we're not going to spend the money on a Mac and she doesn't need anything very powerful because it's going to be mostly web browsing and Zoom meetings. There are a lot of sub-$300 notebooks on Amazon, and some of them are from companies like Acer and Dell, but there are a shit ton of brands I have never heard of- Excebook, CHUWI, SGIN... some don't even say the brand. It's crazy.

Chuwi is one I have actually come across IRL! Can’t vouch either way for it but anecdotally the owner seemed happy

Will they be subject to the same return policy?

[–] TheOgreChef 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I can only imagine this going poorly, but in hilariously unexpected ways that I can’t wait to see.

But the shareholders said otherwise, they expect to make billions! Cause they are trying to maximize their profits. But I agree with you.

[–] _number8_ 8 points 1 year ago

but i don't want to support either of those shitty entities! i want to buy from the damn factory!

[–] alquicksilver 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Just download the damned car, at this point.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

You wouldn't!

[–] alienanimals 5 points 1 year ago

Amazon sucks, but so do the gate-keeping dealerships.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Hmm… how will a return work? 🤔

Put it the car back in a box and drop it at the nearest dropoff store or UPS/FedEx? 🤣

Will there be a 30% restocking fee?

What if the car just doesn't work after delivery? Missing parts?

Will there now also be a Amazon Warehouse Deals for used cars?

[–] TenderfootGungi 3 points 1 year ago

The sooner that traditional car dealers go away as a business model the better.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)
