In addition to your points, Ipretty strongly agree with the various ideas that all of the bans, gun free zones, and other firearm villification just serves to glorify them to those that would do the rest of us harm. Its a terrible feedback loop that especially seems to impact the rare but terrifying mass killings we've seen over the years.

That same scam is also ran on every other payment method. These would all be prevented by not accepting checks that aren't for the exact amount and don't pay the difference in cash to the check writer.
I'm being a little nitpicky, but there are issues even in the single action section since the say,

Top breaks like the Schofield eject everything all at once and many are single action. The swing out cyclinder isn't inherently part of it being double action, but is uncommon to find only one of the two features in a gun. The Colt 1877 was double action and used a typical single ejector rod.
